Very nice location, on the edge of the congestion zone. Parking was
available in a non-associated parking house about two blocks away. The
tower and tower bridge and the river is about 10-15 minutes walk. Room
was clean, everything in order. Ac is great and sound isolation from the
street noises worked perfectly.

Friendly, helpful staff on reception and in restaurant; compact but perfectly appointed room (great attention to design detail); very close to overground (10 mins) and tube trains (2 mins round corner) - direct tube from Paddington, Kings Cross/St Pancras, Liverpool St. Loved the compact but comfortable room with plug sockets in all the right places!

The quirkiness; if you don't like quirky then don't stay here! The staff were young, helpful and keen to make our stay a pleasant one. We chose a room without a window which was fine for 1 night. The hand made bed was awesome (spend money on your bed and shoes as if you're not in one you're in the other). The choice of lighting in the room was

- Close to tube & vibrant/multicultural/trendy Brick Lane with all its different shops/restaurants/bars/markets. It looks a bit dodgy at first maybe (graffiti), but felt very safe there. Few tourists, London at its best IMHO

Front desk staff extremely nice and helpful. Street and neighborhood are safe and quiet, yet within 10 minutes walk of three tube stations, Kings Cross, Euston Square, and Russell Square. Rooms may be small, and stairs narrow, but you can't beat the charm of this historic building and neighborhood. Hearty buffet breakfast with eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, yogurt, cereal, coffee, tea, etc. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff was very friendly and polite. We had such a warm welcome. We could leave our luggage even though we could not check in untill 2. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The first room we got was leaning a bit and sensitive as we are we asked for another room and the staff helped us with everything and we got a superb room right away instead :) Big and spacy rooms with wooden floors instead of a carpet!
