Even though we were booked into the Sapphire, we ended up a few doors
down at the 'Pearl' which is their sister Hotel. All rooms in
each Hotel are the same according to the Pearl Manager, so that was fine
with us. Our room was in the 'sub' area below street level, but
still with a window to the outside so wasn't claustrophobic. The

I was very pleased with the service when I arrived, the people were polite and immediately got me an iron, which I needed as I was on a business trip. Pretty much everything! From the moment you walk in, you can smell the cleanliness in the hotel. Our room was on the 2nd floor, so it was quite a hike. The room was quite small, but was very clean, cozy and the beds were really comfortable. The bathroom was also small but very clean. Breakfast every day was scrambled eggs, yoghurt, cereal, milk, jam, coffee/tea, so there was not much variety, however we felt that we got all and more for the money we paid - the hotel was an amazingly good deal f

I had just one, very minor, irritation at The Kensington Studios. The AC machinery outside and below our room seemed not to stop at night. As i say, only a minor irritation as it didn't stop me from sleeping.

We were very impressed with the layout of the studio room and the design of it. The heated floors was a bonus when we came in out of the cold!
The bathroom was excellent, and it was a major factor in our choice of hotel and our comfort during our stay.

In general, it is a nice hostel which i would definitely love to visit again. The rooms are okay and the breakfast is just okay for the day's start. Good place to meet nice people from other parts of the world. Price is just okay (not cheap/not expensive) because the hostel is situated in a nice location close to the city center.
