  Relaxed atmosphere - Old Black Lion is a wonderful old period building- 13th Century! Friendly attentive staff, smashing manager. We enjoyed great food (had both evening meal and breakfast). Overall excellent value for money. I particularly liked the friendly teddy bears in the bedrooms- nice touch!! Good location, very close to town and within driving distance of the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons. Breakfast was good, all freshly cooked and filling. Staff were lovely, very welcoming and friendly.

  Relaxed and friendly staff who went out of their way to help us with our 9 mo daughter. Hearty breakfast included. Freshly cooked, large meal portions from the pub downstairs. Comfortable bed. The room was gorgeous- we really loved it. It was an attic room - but large and beautifully done, with a lovely en-suite. The Kilverts is a pub with a really nice atmosphere and great food. We had a lovely full English breakfast.
