Just returned from a two night stay in the 4 poster bedroom, everything was perfect, the house and our room had so much charm and character, our room was large but cosy, the bathroom was just as big, it was perfect.
The breakfast was top notch, friendly owners, very clean and tidy, it had everything we needed and more, if there is any thing you have forgot it will be in your room.
2 minutes walk down the lane to the little village where you will find a beautiful church, 4 pubs, co-op.

Classic Lake district countryside setting. Access to picturesque, easy, 3 mile walk to Conistion Lake through fields and woods. 3 minute walk to beautiful Hawkshead village or 5 minutes through the back of the 14th century church yard. The B&B has a back garden with tables and chairs for an evening glass of wine. Each room has a Fabulous hot shower with pressure that no other English shower system could boast. Great breakfast. Great all round value.
Every little thing was covered, we had complimentaries for every
eventuality; shaving foam, bubble bath, needle and thread, shoe polish,
loads of hot chocolate and horlicks, crystal glasses, bottle opener and
even a bottle top. We felt in the lap of luxury! The views were
beautiful and the room itself was breath-taking and huge! Breakfast was
in a gorgeous conservatory and the guest lounge was beautiful! Best
room ever!.
We admired many of the house's features such as the aged wooden
floor polished to that soft sheen that spoke of years of careful use,
the quirkiness of the bedroom - ours had beams and one of the windows
was a tiny one at knee level which looked out onto wonderful climbing
roses. The bathroom was very large and we particularly appreciated the
very crisp white sheets. The breakfast was excellent.
Very friendly couple who run the accommodation, nothing too much trouble. Front room we had was far larger than most modern hotels with a sitting area. Fittings not to everyones taste but had character. Hugh en suite bathroom with large shower and separate bath, again with a small sitting area. Breakfast was excellent and ample. Good parking and only 4 minute walk down to village.
Perfect peaceful location,2 minutes walk into the village. Beautiful house and gardens with immaculate large clean bedroom and bathroom. Friendly and helpful owners. Plentiful and varied breakfast options. Additional extras e.g fresh milk available from a fridge in the conservatory,
toiletries and lovely bathrobes add to a fabulous stay at Walker Ground. Excellent value for money.
We felt that all the facilities were fantastic, especially the breakfast. The owners were very friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome. We also liked that you could have turned up with just your clothing, as they truly had everything else you could possibly need in the room.
1.Excellent, helpful and friendly service.
2.Very large room with bags of character and bathroom and every need had been thought of & catered for.
2. They went out of their way to cater for my gluten free dietary needs both for breakfast but also for a picnic.
The house was beautiful and the owners were so hospitable and helpful The breakfasts were great with a good choice of foods and it certainly set us up for the day. We will certainly stay there again next time we visit the area.
The welcome we got was lovely. The owners were so friendly and chatty that we felt at home at once. The room was so comfortable and could find no fault. Breakfast was lovely. Will go again.
Loved the location. Really beautiful building. We had a warm welcome from Andrea and the room and bathroom were gorgeous. Excellent quality breakfast set us up for the days walking.

Peace and Quiet. Stunning countryside, lovely rooms.
everything.
everything.
Our stay was fantastic, we could not have asked for more. We had an enormous room with four poster bed and enormous bathroom too. The decor was very pleasant and the attention to detail was great - real wine glasses, cork screw, various teas and coffees, etc, etc.
The owners were also very friendly, helpful and welcoming.
Leaving!.
Nothing, we loved everything!.
couldn't fault a thing or find anything to dislike about Walker ground.
There was nothing that we didn't like every aspect of our stay was great.
The fact that we couldn't stay longer!.
Room was a little dusty but nothing to worry about.
I thought the price was slightly high (we paid £200 for a 2 night stay)
but we chose to pay that & we were not disappointed overall.
Breakfast only on for 30 mins from 8.30. Too early and too short for weekend. Met husband but not wife of team. Would have been nice to have met both. Arrived late and no local place serving food would have been a nice gesture to have even offered a piece of toast as we were starving.
Nothing to report...

Nothing.
loved it all.
Nothing!.
Pitched black walking back from the village late at night and the torch didn't work.
The approach, which is by far the worst I have ever encountered, and the limited parking area.
not long enough.
I can't think of anything that we didn't like.
