We had a fabulous one night stay at The Chester Residence. Staff were very helpful and the suite was fantastic. All rooms were very spacious (we had the 1st floor suite) and the location was only about 5 minutes walk from Haymarket and Princes Street. ... τι λέει ο κόσμος » a stuffy hotel any day of the week! - The location was fairly close to the center of the city (20 minute walk). The neighborhood was quiet and clean. Flat screen tv with multiple satellite channels. Kitchen well stocked daily with breakfast/snack items. Reception/housekeeping more than helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend to anyone and return to this hotel without a doubt.

We stayed in apartment 11 on the third floor. The view was incredible of
St. Giles Cathedral. The location superb two blocks from the castle.
Many restaurants and shops on the royal mile. Many tourists but inside
the apartment calm and relaxing. A bit of noise at night as shops and
restaurants were cleaning up and ghost tours ending but by 11pm all went
quiet until about 7am. We enjoyed our stay as it was close to everything
including Waverly train station.

The older gentleman working in the reception was a perfect example of hospitality and he also seemed to have a great knowledge of Edinburgh, which he shared generously.

The apartments are spacious and had everything we could need. The staff were extremely friendly and very accommodating. We arrived early in Edinburgh and they allowed us to check-in 4 hours early.

Brilliant location for the Fringe festival and town etc.
The bed was so comfortable and duvet and pillows gorgeous - a real treat. Everything we wanted to feel home from home with a modern edge. Will definitely be staying again but will book for longer next time!

Walton was extremely functional and efficient in busy Edinburgh. Visitors intending to spend more time out of the room than in will find it fuss free, clean, and functional with a touch of comfort. The family room of 5! So few hotels have this facility. Car parking was available and staff were great with allowing us to leave it there even after we had checked out. Very friendly staff. Wonderful cooked breakfast.
