The friendliness of the staff. relaxed atmosphere. the food was excellent, makes such a difference.Friendly and helpful staff. Home cooked food. Convenience to town centre.Excellent food. the cleanliness. the staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome, a very clean and tidy hotel. full english breakfast in the morning finished off our stay nicely. The staff, friendly. Value for money. Large room, newley decorated, good seperate shower, easy to find. Fresh milk for coffee and tea in room. Sky sports available. All staff spoken to were most helpful. the staff were very friendly and the location good and my room very cosy. The food, excellent kitchen. nice and warm. The restaurant was excellent, although a touch on the pricey side. The staff were all very good. I would reccomend the hotel to my friends.I was impressed with cleanliness of hotel and how friendly staff were. I was happy with standard of premium room that i booked. A pleasant stay, with polite and friendly staff. Good to have on site parking in a City centre. The hotel itself was excellent, exceptional staff and represented value for money. Room temperature was just right. Had porridge for breakfast and it was delicious!. Quiet nice room. Pleasant, helpful and efficient staff. Nice clean modern room.
Friendly staff. friendly staff, well equipped room. Nicely appointed rooms. clean enviorment. We didn't spend much time at the hotel itself but everything including location facilities, service etc. were all very good and met our requirements perfectly.Room service, abilitiy to be able to leave my luggage and pick up later. The decor, comfort of the bed and the choice at breakfast. Convenience as I was attending a function. Friendly atmosphere and helpful staff. Convenient adn confrotable. location to town centre. The service was very good and the staff courteous and helpful. The foodat the bar and in the restaurant was also of a high standard - the foodwas the most impressive thing about the stay. The room was recentlyrefurbished and was very smart. It was a short stay of 2 nights but the staff were very informative and helpful. The restaurant looked very nice also but I did not have the chance to use it. Perhaps next time.We were nice and near the town enabling us to walk there. The re-furbished room was very comfortable and roomy. Evening meal was a very high standard. Friendly, professional staff.Excellent food and service. Helpful staff. breakfast. Short but very pleasant, good-value menus in both the bar-restaurant and also the main restaurant which also offers a very tasty breakfast menu; e.g. made-to-order Full English Breakfast, Haddock and Poached Eggs, etc and proper, freshly made coffee in a cafetiere.Nice room - liked the balcony!. The the room was a little noisy, but not late at night.I thought continental breakfast was overpriced. It could have been included in room price. one bar meant it tricky to relax as a dinner/dance on and some unpleasant language and behaviour from other guests in the later hours. extractor fan did not work in the bathroom. The refurb has obviously not finished yet and the common areas (dated, old fashioned)do not reflect the rooms ( modern and beautiful). The rooms were fantastic however the bed and pillows too soft. The gowns were fab, like wearing a Teddy bear ;-). I was out quite late and when I returned, the front door was locked. i was told in advance about this. I rang for the porter and he did not appear. I had to attract another guests attention, who was in the bar, to let me in. Hotel website states power shower in premium rooms, shower in my room had no power at all.The bed was uncomfortable. Price. Noisy early in the morning.Either traffic or shower from next room. I thought that the cost of the dinner we had was expensive after all we only had one course and a small bottle of wine. The only negative thing to say which isn't negative in any way, was the shower curtain wasn't suitable for the bath/shower as water went everywhere over the floor. Mashed potatoes always cold. Twice in bar with sauages ( sent one back)and again in restaurant with belly pork. At least consistant!!. the cooked breakfast was tastless. The room was very cold on arrival. Although the manager did put thecentral heating system on to warm up the wroom and also provided a fanheater to answer short term needs, the room remained cold. The bathroomwas very cold, and had stone tiles on the floor which made it feelcolder, and apart from one small bath mat there were not mats in thebathroom, which could have improved the situation.Difficult to fix but it was a little like a warren to get to the rooms. Ok if you are fit!. All the ups and down the stairs thought we would never get to our roomand dreaded forgetting anything and having to straight back. Bathroom fitments were old fashioned for a newly refurbished room. A bit overpriced.bathroom. fan noise. Fruit in the superior room not accurate: 1 old banana and 2 apples.Even though the main restaurant was quiet due to the snowy weather, the service although quite good, was on the slow side. My phone was left at reception and the night staff did not log it, so it took a long time to find and made me late leaving the next day.
