Very relaxing, room had lots of character, breakfast was simple, pub downstairs was cheap and good food. We were looking for a relaxing night and we found it here. Location wasn't too far from the castle and Queen's, but beware that the address is actually 36, not 26.

Good location in walking distance of city centre and Pontcanna for good restaurants.
Comfortable bed, spotlessly clean linen and towels, but pillows a bit flat for us.

Bathrooms were not dirty, but not how I would keep mine at home.
There isn't really anything I didn't like. Just be warned there is a time to check in by as no staff on premises overnight.
Old fashioned bathroom desperately needs update. Glaring green light emergency exit sign lit up the room all night.
the hotel appearance was tired,needs interior refurb and painting.
staff did not have Wi-Fi key.
no cash machine or cashback facility.
They were not very organised when booking in. There was mould on the shower curtain. The radiator was off when I went to the room so I turned it on, and could not turn it off afterwards. It was 15.00 when I was able to do so after having to move the bed. The door from the rooms down to the reception/restaurant/bar was adjacent to my room (3) so I was kept awake late at night and in the morning by the door slamming shut.
no heating in bedroom. had heating when arrived. but freezing cold through the night and no heating in the morning.
bathroom rather dingy.
