Rachel had sent directions and so we had no problem locating the B&B. We had a suite, with the biggest bed that I have ever slept in. It was lovely to also have a large and comfortable seating area so we could relax in the evening.
Rachel suggested a local pub for dinner, and we enjoyed a fabulous meal there.
Breakfast the following morning was excellent, with a choice of cereals, bread, cheese and ham, plus jams etc, and lovely hot croissants.

Real good value for money, the place is beautiful... After missing a
flight from Bristol, we quickly booked this online and arrived 10 mins
later, we were so pleased with our room that we forgot about missing our
holiday!! The 2 cold beers on arrival really helped to calm the nerves
after an otherwise pretty stressful day... Would definitely recommend :).
Everything! the rooms are huge and stunning and beautifully stylish. It has amazing views, wish we'd arrived earlier so we could have had a walk on the vast grounds. I thought I must have got the price wrong! We were just staying before we caught a plane but I would have loved to stay longer. The breakfast was lovely and the owner was as well!.
What an amazing place, I have never stayed anywhere like it! Beautiful very large room with decor out of a magazine & a lovely bathroom. excellent facilities and friendly hosts, fantastic value for money. I couldn't praise Brockley Combe Manor more highly and will definitely be returning.

Wow, wow and wow again. The house is amazing.You know you are somewhere special as you approach on the long driveway. The views are to die for with the bonus of watching the deer in the morning from the bedroom window. We were made to feel so welcome the moment we stepped through the door. We have already booked to stay again!!.
Everything from the beautiful house to the peace and quiet of the surrounding countryside, with the Welsh lights twinkling in the distance. Very large and tastefully decorated room with the largest bathroom ever! Rachel is a very welcoming and pleasant host and provided a delicious breakfast. Would love to return one day.
Huge main bedroom, additional second bedroom (although we did not need it, a family would), and a well-appointed bathroom, with shower and bath. Everywhere was clean, we had an excellent breakfast, and Rachel was very friendly. We couldn't fault it.

There wasnt anything to dislike about our stay. There was only one word wow. It was fabulous, it was beautifully decorated, and spotlessly clean.The owners were really friendly. Would definately stay again.
What a fantastic location and stunning country house. The bedroom with king size four poster bed, was larger than most bungalows!
There was also a second bedroom for a dressing room, bathroom and hallway!.

Enjoyed the country pubs near the manor house.
Unfortunately we were only able to stay for one night as an airport stopover. We hope to return in the near future to explore the area more. The accommodation is extremely clean, comfortable and grand.

We loved the style, history and secluded location of the property - our bedroom was effectively a suite with oodles of space and a marvellous view. The service was attentive and personal.

the fact we didn't have much time to spend there - would recommend arriving early to make the most of it.
Check in by 21.30 which made it stressful getting there on a Friday night but fully understandable as it is also a family home not a chain hotel.
The use of a travel cot would have been nice but I'm nit picking , I would happily move in.

There was nothing to not like - excellent.
Difficult to find. Do not rely on GPS co-ords or sat nav. There is a blue sign on left of the A370 to the west of Backwell. Follow this lane to get to the Manor.

The bed could be a bit more comfortable - the frame is very pretty but maybe a bit rickety - when one person turns over, the whole bed wobbles.
Nothing not to like but a suggestion to Light up sign for the Manor on the main road in both directions would be better to find in the dark.

I would have been happy to pay a bit more for better quality tea and coffee in the room (we bought our own), for better bedding and a more solid bed. We were surprised that there was no cooked breakfast on offer.
Would have preferred a cooked breakfast not just a continental. Room so huge difficult to actually see the telly comfortably. Despite great furnishings strange to have no mirror in bathroom or bedroom or any receptacles in the bathroom to put soap. toothbrushes, toothpaste etc.
No waste bin in the bedroom.
Perhaps a good English breakfast would be a nice option.

The breakfast. Not fresh orange juice - watered down whatever it was. Instant coffee served in a caffetire. Croissants left in the oven too long. There was only one bedside/reading lamp. Owner very friendly but one was given the impression that she would like you to leave as soon as you could. Also, this B&B is very difficult to find.
