This Victorian house, built in 1863 is nestled in the heart of the ancient fishing town of Brixham. Beacon House offers picturesque views over the sea and nearby harbour. Free private parking is available, as well as a garden and sun terrace.
Views of the sea, harbour or marina are featured in each room at Beacon House, as well as free Wi-Fi, an en suite bathroom and a tea/coffee making facilities. Many rooms feature original Victorian furnishings, such as fireplaces and exposed floorboards.
A freshly prepared full English breakfast is served in the breakfast room, which offers striking views of the marina and also includes continental options. Guests can also relax in their own lounge, which features Sky TV.
The beautiful Churston Golf Club, with stunning bay views, is only 3 miles away. Greenway, the home of Agatha Christie, is 4 miles away, and Dartmouth, home of the Royal Dartmouth Regetta is a short 10-minute drive.

The views at Beacon House are to die for, from our room, from the
breakfast room and from the garden there are magnificent vistas of
Brixham Harbour. Nigel was the perfect host with heaps of ideas and
suggestions for our stay. A 10 minute walk down the hill and we were at
the harbour and town centre, very convenient. Did not have to use our
car in the two days we were there and I don't think there
wasn't too much we didn't get to see. In the three weeks we

The owners, Nigel and Amanda were so friendly and welcomed us both with a pot of tea and homemade flap jack to die for. Nothing was too much trouble. They are new to the area but have embraced Brixham and familiarised themselves with the local history and offer wonderful advice for restaurants and bars.

The sun shone in the morning and the views were truly fantastic.
We loved everything about this charming, stylish Bed and Breakfast. From the initial warm greeting from Nigel right the way through to our sad farewell. The room was delightful and the breakfast that was prepared by Amanda and Nigel was superb with lots of unique little delicacies such as Amandas stewed Rhubarb. Two little lemon sponges complete with party poppers and a greeting were discretely placed in our room on our anniversary - really we felt spoilt, valued and extremely welcome. We t.
As Nigel and Amanda's positioning statement says "it all starts
with the view" and that is just one of the amazing parts of the
stay at Beacon House. After 6 weeks of travelling around the uk, Beacon
House was our top rated b & b thanks to the standard of
accommodation, quality of Amanda's cooking and their sensational
approach making all their guests feel at home. They are the real deal
when it comes to being truly professional in their approach as b & b
operators.
Beacon House was wonderful and lived up to its excellent reviews. The views are spectacular, as was the breakfast, especially the apricots & figs in tea and orange juice. Nigel & Amanda very welcoming and tea and cakes on arrival was one of the nice touches. Bed exceptionally comfortable and guest living room lovely. Liked the wine glasses in bedroom! Beautiful garden, but too cold to use!!.
We only stayed 3 nights, wish it had been more, everything was perfect, Nigel & Amanda were wonderful hosts, breakfast was lovely, I grazed the fresh fruits and yogurt whilst hubby had the full cooked Beacon. Our room, bathroom bed/bedding was spotless and inviting. We loved our stay and will hopefully be returning in the near future. Thankyou both for our lovely stay, Jackie & Barry x.
This is a real find. Amanda and
Nigel were the perfect hosts who genuinely put their guests comfort first. The quality of the finish throughout the whole property is first class with attention to detail really coming to the fore. Breakfast is also a winner along with Amanda's daily home Made cake. Superb in all areas. Colin and Jill will most certainly be back! Thank you for a great stay.
In our time we have been about and stayed in many places but staying at Nigel and Amanda's B&B stands out as the very best we have experienced. Superb welcome, supreme rooms and content and a jaw dropping location. If you are thinking of going to Brixham and looking for the very best mix of luxury and value for money then look no further.

Nigel and Amanda are both terrific hosts and went out of their way to welcome us, with afternoon tea on arrival, just the start. We arrived on their pirate weekend in the town, so it was a great atmosphere in the town.
All the rooms have great views, off street parking a bonus and excellent cooked breakfast. You could not go wrong booking here, they deserve to do well.
The whole package. Nigel and Amanda, the owners, made us feel very welcome and were friendly and helpful. Nigel is knowledgeable of the local area and was able to suggest places to eat out as well as the best local trips. Spectacular view of the harbour from our room. Wow - we liked everything about this place! Welcoming, spotlessly clean, good breakfast, fantastic from the moment of arrival to the sad moment we had to leave! Absolutely the best guesthouse we have stayed in and very relaxing atmosphere which is down to Nigel and Amanda who deserve every credit.
Beacon House has a warm atmosphere. The couple who run it are helpful, friendly and go out of their way to make your stay agreeable. The view from the bedroom is beautiful and the breakfast in the morning caters for all tastes.
From a practical aspect - having a carpark is definitely a plus.

A really lovely place to stay with so many thoughtful personal touches. We were taken aback by the view, the fantastic breakfasts, the great decor and the comfy bed. Amanda and Nigel couldn't have been more friendly and helpful - after just two days it felt like we had known them for years!.
Nigel and Amanda were delightful hosts of a wonderful B&B. Brixham is a glorious seaside village and Beacon House affords a great view of the village and the harbour. The Queens Arms, a very short walk away, is also a great little pub. I regret that we had only the one night's stay.
Beacon House is a superb guest house. Beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable and the breakfast, well.... lots of delicious fresh fruit to start and then the best scrambled egg with smoked salmon!!

The view from my room overlooking the whimsical Brixham harbour was fabulous. The little details in the room such as sailing-inspired decorations made this B&B memorable. Nigel was an excellent host who made sure that my stay was well taken care of.
It was quite simply the nicest guesthouse I've ever stayed at. Amanda and Nigel made us feel so welcome from the start and were superb hosts. The breakfast was great and I would heartily recommend Beacon House to any of my friends and family.

The price for such a great view over the harbour is that the access on foot is fairly steep so it needs thinking about if you're a bit infirm but no problem by car.
