Rooms at the Balbairdrie use bright and neutral colours, they are warmly furnished and feature free WiFi, tea and coffee making facilities and an en suite bathroom. The large restaurant offers a varied menu, which changes from time to time and may offer traditional Scottish dishes such as haggis and neeps and tatties. The Balbairdie Hotel hosts karaoke nights on Fridays and Saturdays in its lively bar that attract guests and visitors alike.

Location: bang in the centre of Bathgate but off the main drag. Quiet area. COST: very cheap, free cancellation. ACCOMMODATION: clean, no frills, en-suite with SKY, and kettle for coffees and teas. PUBLIC AREAS: extremely popular and well stocked bar with large screen SKY for daytime sporting events etc as requested, plus non-stop karaoke in the evenings. Dining room that doubles up as quiet spill-over for bar in evenings, plus beer garden for smokers etc. MENU: good standard UK hotel selectio.
όλα τα σχόλια » I had already been reading reviews of this hotel and did not know what to expect, yet when I arrived I felt a very homely atmosphere and the staff where so helpful. Yes you may have to walk through a bar to access your room upstairs but I did not find that a problem. Our room was clean and tidy and had all the facilities we required. This hotel is situated right in the heart of Bathgate but we were there for a wedding in the Vue which was 5-10mins in a taxi. I would highly recommend this hotel . Friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us. I rang ahead to tell them we were arriving late morning for a wedding so was there any way our room could be ready before the 2pm check in time. It was ready when we arrived at 11.30. We got back from the wedding very late and somebody was waiting to let us in. The next morning we came down too late for breakfast but they made us some anyway. The room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. We had a wedding to attend at a venue called the VU. We were looking for somewhere to change before the wedding and also to return to for a night's rest. the staff accommodated the request to get into the room early and were friendly and helpful with advice and directions. i was attending a wedding and the staff went out of there way to accommodate me, they were very friendly and couldn.t do enough for me, the food was excellant. The hotel is ideally situated in the centre of town handy for everything can't praise it enough. Great value for the money. The staff was very nice. The breakfast was great. Our room was really large--hooray! We were only there for one night but were very satisfied. Great location, only 25 min. to the EDI airport and around 40 min. to Edinburgh. stayed here as we were attending a wedding at the vue. Rooms were basic but very clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. would recommend this hotel. karoke was good and pub had a good atmosphere. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, the food was good it was clean and suited us for our stay was short but it was good value for money and would stay there again if in area. Friendly atmosphere, good food,chef very accomadating,just give him some notice if you want something different from the menu,he does an excellent fillet. Steak !. Very comfortable stay and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. A very pleasant experience and I would stay again. If you're looking for somewhere that looks like it costs £200 a night, do yourself a favour and pay £200! If you need somewhere clean, comfortable and value for money, stay here. Didn't look for any. Most difficult job was setting the Sat nav to find Broomfield place it kept stating Engine place. nothing i'd willing stay again. Nothing. cold bathroom in room 6, no radiator + drafty window and bath panel = igloo. Nothing. it wasn't the best views but didn't bother us , we weren't interested in the views. Restaurant not open on Wednesdays. Not a problem though, asthere is a Weatherspoons and a similar within easy walking distance. nothing. The snow we had on the morning of our departure!. Could not get wi-fi in room. The decor of the room, the soiled carpet, the old furniture. The bathroom was just not nice. At time of visit temperature was 28degC, and the room was extremely hot as no air conditioning or ability to open windows wide. One bathroom (of two rooms) couldn´t be used because sinks didn´t work. Room was poor noise was bad. Drunken guests, set fire alarm off at 2am then fighting after 3.30am police called. Breakfast was poor No chair in room Room cold No heating in toilet Tv too small for size of room At 5.30 pm kitchen was closed despite advertising meals. going through bar with cases as bar is always full.of stareing locals..beds were terrible .could feel every spring in mattress. Smoking area outside bedroom window, active into early hours. No WIFI in bedroom. Mostly everything. The whole place is in desperate need of being modernized. The restaurant prices where to expensive (£3.00 for a cup of instant coffee a bit much).
