In the heart of the Peak District, The Snake Pass Inn offers bed and breakfast accommodation in Bamford, alongside a cosy bar and restaurant. Less than 30 minutes’ drive from Sheffield, The Snake Pass is set in a 17th century building and offers a range of rooms, all with free parking and Wi-Fi.
Each room has en suite bathroom facilities with shower or bath, and complementary toiletries are provided. One room has a luxurious four-poster bed, and all have a wardrobe, chest of drawers, tea and coffee facilities and a TV. There are also several dog-friendly rooms located close to the main building.
A home-cooked English breakfast is served each morning. The restaurant serves evening meals as well as a lighter lunch menu including sandwiches and salads.
Bamford is in a central location, ideal for those exploring Derbyshire and the surrounding counties. The Inn is close to several major footpaths, including the scenic Pennine Way. Glossop is just 15 minutes’ drive away, and the pretty town of Bakewell just over 30 minutes.

Service was very good; staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast was very tasty and satisfying, as were the evening meals.
Location suited us. Staff friendly, meals were nicely prepared and good value, all very much as we expected. I would recommend.

Good location for walking high Peaks area. Dog friendly. Good historical facts of building and area. Food basic pub food but reasonable value for money, soup stunning. Open fire.

The seating could be a bit more comfortable.
Don't follow the sat nav, it gives the wrong location. Just look out for the pub it's all on it's own.
Would have liked a room with a view.
Needs a bit of a refresh. Heating in rooms suspect.
