Very friendly staff, lovely clean room with a beautiful view of the hills around Bakewell. Facilities for self-catering. Very quiet location, and yet still a short walk down the hill to the town centre. Will certainly return next time we are staying in the area.
Beautifully maintained historic house in elevated position over Bakewell, Convenient for the town. Valuable off street parking. Comfortable room with useful kitchen facilities.Very pleasant to be able to sit on the terrace and admire the view.όλα τα σχόλια »
Loved loved loved the room and the extras requested - prosecco on arrival- THANK YOU!!! Excellent standard, complete luxury and beautiful views and the BED was immensely comfortable and huge as well as the bath!!!.
Lovely building.
Great location with restaurants and shops within walking distance but easy access to beautiful countryside.
Bookable by the day.
Basic catering facilities available.
Very clean loved our stay great to just relax the room we stayed in was that nice we didn't want to go out we jus stayed on an relaxed would Defo recomend to any1.
I like the mix of contemporary and traditional design.
I liked the supportive staff who were there when needed, but not in your face either.
Very quiet, and convenient to restaurants in the village. The owners could not have been more helpful. Car parking was also very convenient.
We booked a standard double and they upgraded us for free because we were on our honeymoon! Beautiful room, very comfortable, great staff!!.
The spectacular view from the huge window. The huge and very comfortable bed.
Beautiful building, fantastic accommodation, staff attentive.
The room in the Hall was fantastic and very comfy bed..
Friendly helpful staff and very comfortable room.
The peace and quite and the room we stayed in.
lovely old house, and yet with all mod cons.
Great town on river, close to Chatsworth.
Peaceful Comfortable Friendly staff.
Very nice room with good amenities.
Clean and tidy inside.
Good location for exploring the Peak District by car and Bakewell on foot. Our basement room had its entry from the garden which was convenient. However, the ceiling and doors were very low, this room does not suit a taller couple.
Location was beautiful and the sitting area outside was lovely. Staff were very nice about us changing a room.
Views were spectacular; liked having kitchenette; bed was comfortable (not sure about bath in room!).
Good location close to centre of Bakewell.
Stylish room, comfortable bedding.
king size bed. Lovely property with amazing views from Bagshaw hill. Smooth check-in and check-out.
No negatives!.
When we arrived there was no one to greet us, the hall doesn't have an actual reception only a number to call (which no-one answered) after a short while a gentleman came and found us and took us to the room.
The breakfast is cute but definitely NOT £6 per person for milk, juice, croissants and bread.
Would benefit from some maintenance/refurbishment and they need a good gardener - this would make it feel more like a luxury place to stay.
We had the penthouse suite and I really disliked the large bath in the room. Some comfortable seating would have been far preferable as the 2 chairs provided were some of the most uncomfortable I've sat in.
Nothing.
no Bar or breakfast.
Lack of bar and dining facilities would be good if these were available.
Nothing.
Breakfast not included for the price paid
Booked and paid for a luxury room via letsbookhotel.com but it turned out to be a standard room upon arrival.
The place looked a little tired. Could do with some exterior decoration and more garden comfort.
no cereal bowls.
We had to wait for a staff member to arrive to check in and did not see another staff member for our entire stay. Our room was not serviced for the length of our stay. No breakfast.
Dated rooms, dated decor, no reception so you have to call a mobile phone to contact them, but there is very limited phone reception. Wi-fi limited to the dining and lounge room, not really self catering. The "garden room" is a basement room and is very cramped and claustrophobic.
No onsite eating arrangements; wi-fi reception in room didn't work (had to go to landing!); the catch on one window was broken so we could'nt keep it partly open and other window didn't open at all (stiff and blocked by blind); full length mirror would be good.
Too difficult to check in. I believe I was over-charged.
Simply, not good enough for the price.
We were most unhappy with the first choice of room given - view of a
brick wall. Were moved to another one and had the experience of our
bathroom flooding from shower on floor above. Generally, staff were
disinterested.
low ceiling in shower not good for anyone 6ft or over.
Same with the entrance door. My wife and I both banged our heads and we are only 5ft 6 ins. Parking is difficult in small car park. Location of designated smoking area is inconvenient. Garden area has too much rubbish for such a magnificent property.
