  The location for Edinburgh city centre was perfect, the bus stop wasright outside the hotel and took 5 minutes at the most to get you intothe centre, much quicker than by car. The owners were exceptionallyhelpful in all aspects including booking a taxi to our restaurant. Theroom was a lovely size and decor and it was all very clean. She went beyond expectations for helping us w airline details, reservations, information, etc. She happily got up very early to provide a lovely continental breakfast for 2 of us w early flights. The tea and full breakfast were sumptious and delicious. Rooms smallish but well appointed. General decor, landscaping, etc were lovely!

The rooftop hyropool was wonderful. - The upgrade to our room was very comfortable and appreciated. The staff were all very helpfull and friendly.

  This hotel is like my view of an old hotel should be steeped in history and splendour. It was a pleasure the rooms are not modern although they do have the touches like the plasma tv and modern bathroom. Overall I would not change anything about the hotel it was perfect.   The breakfast was very tasty with lots of choice. Everything was served to your table which was nice but I actually prefer a buffet where you can choose what you want as you eat. We were a little worried that butlers wou - This hotel (the Howard) is really very nice. The bathrooms were fabulous I have never seen a bathroom as nice. My husband loved the shower. The staff were really nice, friendly and very helpful and the butlers well they could not do enough for you. There were no tea making facilities in the room however you just had to request a drink and the butlers brought a freshly made drink to your room, all complimentary and all very lovely.
