From the moment Douglas picked me up from the airport I knew I was in good hands . I had no idea that the drive to the beautifully appointed house would be through Hatfield Heath and would involve seeing deer ,pheasant , rabbits and a hare ! The house was beautiful , the roll top bath divine and my room warm , welcoming and tastefully furnished . W

The location - I have never been anywhere with so many pretty cottages, halls & countryside walks in such quick succession - utterly surprised (& I'm from the home counties with family in deepest Dorset & Devon)

Our room was spotlessly clean & very comfortable. The bed & bedding were superb. We really enjoyed our evening meal, which is several cuts above 'pub grub'. The breakfast was especially good, with a wide range of choices, like the delicious Eggs Florentine I had. The service was very efficient and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The settin is a perfect example of an English village with a village green, & was very peaceful.

Hotel management were very helpful and attentive. We had a pleasant andenjoyable stay and would choose this hotel again if we visit the area inthe future - The owners were brilliant. They were flexible, accommodating and friendly and gave great service. The food was really tasty and the restaurant was tasteful and relaxing. I am sure I will go back

Very cosy -
Lovely room - would have liked a chair or table for business. Loved the olde worlde pub! Loved the warm radiator. Loved the power shower - really good.
