The hotel is superbly managed, and all the staff are excellently trained. This was my second stay here, and once again I greatly enjoyed my visit. We stayed at holiday inn in southend since our flight to Amsterdam was taking off from southend airport. So we ended up staying there for two nights. It was absolutely the right decision. The hotel itself was spotless. It was really clean and well maintained. Best hotel for the price. southend is a nice town for nightlife and clubs. Not so much during the days. Hotel is right next to the airport and the train station that takes u to and back from London. No cabs needed. Has a nice restaurant a

Faultless service. Excellent Food. Beautifully decorated and clean. Many luxurious extras. Flat screen TV. Wonderful Coffee Machine. The staff were always helpful and put themselves out to help, without being pushy. The Hotel is well maintained and if in the area I would stay there again - Clean, tidy and comfortable room, staff were very friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was superb!

Lovely location with great sea views. Short walk into Southend itself or longer sea front walk to the very pretty Leigh on Sea. Lots of old pubs with great character here and the old famous "cockle sheds" for fresh sea food. Friendly helpful and informative staff. The Gleneagles is one of the better hotels that I have stayed in recently. The ground floor double room with it's own rear entrance to (limited spaces) car parking was well worth the budget price. Location, friendliness and comfort - This is my 1st hotel I can really recommend for everyone-newlyrefurbished, spotless, nice and bright, with excellent staff!!! Very helpful reception staff including the duty manager Thomaz I think? Helped us to our room as we had to carry our sleeping child. Was very helpful on the phone and friendly and nothing was too much trouble!!
Also lady in the morning on the reception was helpful and lady at breakfast helpful and friendly towards us and our son. And best omelette

As we travelled there on motorbikes they allowed us to store the bikes in a secure locked rear yard. - Very friendly staff, the hotel was clean and comfortable.
