Excellent value for money. (An added bonus was its location alongside the grammar school I attended 1943-48 which I hadn't seen since then!) - We were attending a local wedding and all the staff were very helpful providing directions and information regarding the venue.

The Hotel was beautiful the room was nicely decorated and was lovely and clean we only had room service food because the evening dinner service was full if the option to book for dinner was available it would help. - staff were very young but so helpful and attentive. Very friendly and helpful staff overall.

We stayed two nights for a family funeral and hills a buffet reception for family and friends. The food was good. We dined in the hotel restaurant both nights and were very impressed. All staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is modern and very spacious. It made it a little easier to cope with such a sad occasion.

Good sized room, clean and comfortable. Bar food meal we had was really delicious and on an offer of 2 mains for £10. This was the cheapest and tastiest meal in our 10 day tour (and we had had some really great meals). Bath and toiletries good.. -
The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was a good size and the gym was well equipped.

A historical hall set in a fantastic setting, the gardens a joy to behold. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the room and facilities were just perfect. Add that to tremendous food, and it's a venue we are already looking to go back to! -

Very good value for money. - I always read reviews before booking, and I had a most enjoyable stay at a really friendly and quirky hotel, where the staff I met and dealt with were helpful, and very eager too please. I found it strange that previous reviews complained about there being no lift, and that their rooms were some way from reception - well it states that on the information page on this really interesting hotel.

Everything was perfect. The staff were friendly, helpful, smiley!!! and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel although situated on a roundabout, you wouldn't have known it, was in a perfect location for seeing all the beautiful places around the area. Matlock, Bakewell, Buxton, Snake Pass all just a few minutes drive away. Beds were amazing probably the best nights sleep in a hotel I've ever had. Restaurant was brilliant, food really good, and again the staff were fabulous.
