I had a delightful surprise staying at the Taksim Star; very impressed by the room, soft yet crisp sheets; the bathroom was really clean, too!! The entire room was designed remarkably, very stylish and ingenious use of space. Very helpful, friendly and courteous staffs, and the location could not be better, near everything. -

We have stayed at Faik Pasha for two nights. This hotel is an excellent option in İstanbul. We chose this hotel due to the Taksim square protests. It is very close to İstiklal Street but it is located in very secure region of Taksim. The room was very well appointed, real boutique hotel style. Great location. Easy to move from there to visit the city and rich of bar pub cafe and nightlife. Nearby Karakoy a dinamic district with many lovely restaurant and the great istanbul modern, a museum you might see.
The hotel is in an historic building but it is fully renovated and the result is a mix of historic perspective and contemporary taste. Everyone is very nice and gentle . Perfect for couple

The history: Agatha Christie wrote her [Murder on the Orient Express] at
this hotel. There is a small exhibition area on the fourth floor about
this and other historic moments. The elevator from 1895 can still run

A classic hotel, which I've used twice before, in 1995 & 2005, before its recent refurbishment. It's now three times the price, but the grandeur is no longer faded, it's now a true 5-star place. And I'm delighted to say that the refurb hasn't spoilt its character at all, as this is a hotel with more character and history than most! Staff were great, we got a room upgrade, and an extra hour extended checkout wasn't a problem. If we return to Istanbul, it'll be the Pera Palas for us!

My stay at Rixos Hotel had a taste from heaven. Rixos is simply the best hotel in Istanbul, speacially for families with kids. It's the only hotel with all duplix rooms, not to mention the superb level of services. This is the friendliest hotel I ever stayed and its not surprise that guests return year after year. holidayed here for 5 days 29 April-3 May 2013 with my wife and 7 years son,and I can honestly say it is one best places I have ever stayed. From the minute we arrived and was met by Esra who took care of us and helped us alot we felt welcomed. The rooms were comfortable and the AC worked great! It's also in a great location - just a short walk from Taksim Square. The best part of the hotel was the staff - they literally ran through tear gas with us to help us make our way to a shuttle for an early morning flight. Beyond these mild heroics, they also were very valuable in helping us navigate the city, make plans, and were responsive to any room-related requests we had.

From the moment we arrived the time we spent in this hotel was wonderful. The staff were extremely attentive, room was excellent, food was good. We were there for a specific purpose in that part of the city, but there is plenty to keep you occupied in the area and the Bosphorus only a short taxi ride away is full of activity and wonderful restaura

Everything. Hotel is amazing and brand new. Definitely it is firm 5 star hotel. I don't know what to name first design, comfort, location or quality of service everything is excellent. Staff is very kind and helpful. It was my first time in Istanbul and they completely helped me to orginize my time there. Highly recommend. -
