My partner and I have been to Bangkok before and stay in rambuttri which is a minute away, we were starting to think that thailand might have lost its friendliness but Baan Chart gave us a little spot of hope. They were very accommodating and the rooms were super comfy and clean, note the bed was amazing. It is really convenient for ko San rd and Rambuttr. If you are feel that you may need a little western comfort it has a Starbucks and Burger King on either side and the thai food at the actual.

Surprisingly quiet rooms for the location. The chicken satay was so good i do not understand what the Burger King next door is selling. Baan Chart is a very nice, comfortable boutique hotel right between Khaosan Road and a street full of restaurants. Most other hotels in the area seem to be backpacker-type places. So, if you want to stay in the Khaosan area but in a nicer hotel, Baan Chart is a good choice. The location is great, the room is amazing, clean and spacey. Love the design and the shower room makes me wanna take shower again and again. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The is nice jazz live music in the restaurant every night. Great location just around the corner from Khao San in the middle of the backpacker craziness. Nice rooms with lots of little luxuries like minibar and free toiletries that you don't always find at this price point in Thailand. Perfect location for shopping at nearby stores. Very helpful and friendly staff. Left before breakfast was served and they put together a great take away for the road. Very clean and comfortable room. Perfectly central location very close to Khao San, the river, the Grand Palace, Wat Phro. Others have complained about the noisiness at night - well, that's what you get when you stay near Khao San. We really liked this hotel. The design of the room was cute, with a big comfy bed. Nice Thai food in the restaurant. Only had a quick did in the pool. It´s quite small, but serves the purpose. Very good hotel, super location close to Khaosan road, a bit noisy though. But at this price, with Nice little pool on the roof, it's perfect for a few days in Bangkok... Close to bars and restaurants. Location, pool, service. My overall impression of Baan Chart is that it is reasonably comfortable and in a good location. I have stayed there on three occasions now and I have to say that my last stay was not as good as the first two. The soft bed and pillows. nothing. Poor waterpressure in the room at times. Modern or not, the glass doors in the bathroom were just a little to hard to see. The rooftop pool is nice, but small and the water had a gray-green tint. The breakfast is not buffet and quite expensive, better get the room without breakfast because around the hotel you can find food easily and cheaper, even the american set menu. Our room was dark during the day and a bit noisy at night. It's the neighbourhood but they haven't done much to soundproof the rooms at all. Pool is tiny but good to cool off. Rooms were a little noisy due to them facing main road. It's hard to get a taxi running the meter in such a touristy place. Not at all a fault of the hotel, but to be considered when you choose the area. The room was a little bit dirty. The sink was still a bit dirty and the floor still had tea stains on it from previous people. But everything else was fine. A bit noisy. The one tiny window in the room needs to have more than a sheer drape over it as the light shines in early in the morning waking you up. Music and noise from the open air restaurant keeps you up at night if your room is facing the front of the hotel. Rooms have very very poor lighting Too much light let through from outside lights at night (doors are made of glass). Cleaners don't finish their cleaning properly in rooms. First night they took our towels and didn't replace them. Second night they left their cleaning products in our bathroom. Breakfast is very small for the price paid, very few options for vegetarians. No table or chairs in the room. Got 2 chairs on request. Room is dark but good after long party night on Khao San Road. Noise at night (bars around the hotel). spooky lift. Very clean, but spooky! fix it. Walking into it between burger king and a Starbucks. Room small with only one tiny round window. noicy, the walls were from carton I think, but after 3 nights we where used to the noice there where no babybeds availible, but the bed was big enough to sleep with 3 persons.so that was not really a problem, so nice hotel, I would stay here again for shure. The shower didn't work well in either of the 2 rooms. No car parking. It is too near to kaosan road: during the night it is really too noisy ...music, shouts, squalls,fights untill sunrise..... Could be a bit noisy and the curtains didn't block out the light so you were awake really early. Nothing. Small windows and the window at front can not be opened. So poor air circulation. Clean room but smell of damp mop in room. When I tried to book an extra night staff wanted to move us to room on lower floor closer to the street with increased noise for the same price.. Please read until the end - the hotel is co-operating with a travel agent which, literally, steal from tourists!! This agent want from us 500 bht for a drive of 250 bht. When we asked them to call her they didn't want to and started talk un-nicely. It was outrageous! Don't give your money to someone who try to steal from tourists! Also the shower is very bad - most of the time we didn't had hot water and the water was in a very very bad volume. Try to find something else. Noise and door had glass panel which let in light and window. Staff were good and covered both in towels, but why would u not have curtains to keep light out. Had to buy ear plugs :(. Very noisy because of close proximity to bars and restaurants. You will definitely need earplugs. Noise from the street made sleeping somewhat uncomfortable and could be fixed by better isolation. when we arrived in our room the shower was broken in such a way that if the shower had been cleaned properly the cleaner would have seen it and presumably reported it. A shelf was hanging off in the wardrobe and the management new but it was not fixed. cleaning was poor and to be honest, although I would stay there again, location is good. It is not good valve for money anymore. The noise factor of the street outside, the doors to the hotel room letting all the light in as they are a glass panel and corridor lights don't get turned off until midnight, room stays lit up like a beacon until then. a total rip off.
