Excellent location (at the southern end of Sairee Beach; close enough to walk to bars, restaurants, shops etc, but far enough away so it was quiet), right on the beach, fantastic view, run by a Thai family who were extremely pleasant and accommodating, good wifi, laundry. Had a fantastic stay and excellent value for money. Had an amazing time at Ocean View Bungalows. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back.

You get what you pay for!! Really cheap basic bungalow, good size room and secure (no safe but doors seem sturdy). The fan in the room was excellent, and the bed was the comfiest I've come across in Thailand yet. Only a short walk to the main beach strip and bars. The guy on reception, who I think owns it, is literally always there so if you have any problems theres always help. It also has mosquito/insect window net covers, so you can open all the widows without worrying about insects flying i. Was in a good location for the beach and reatraunts, not even a ten minute walk from the peer,room was clean and spacious, excellent value for money would recommend ocean view if on budget. letsbookhotel.com show a lovely pic, we arrived to be shown to nothing more than a hut. At first we were told regardless of whether we stayed or not we would have to pay full amount. Afterwards we were told we could move the next day to the bungalows overlooking the sea to which we paid the extra charge. It was good and close to everything we needed. Nothing! (It was a basic room and wet room bathroom but this is reflected in the price!). A few insects here and there. Cold shower. Some people may find not having the room cleaned daily a problem but it didn't bother us. Quite a lot of construction work outside our bungalow, but we are here in off season and it has to get done sometime I guess. Only main dislike we had was that the wifi didn't reach our bungalow. Staff was abit rude and iggnorAnt, slow drain in the bAthroom. First room was disgusting, second was better and it was the view that nailed it but they could be a lot cleaner. This hotel double charged me. First I made the booking online and payed with my creditcard. When I got there they wanted me to pay for the room because the money "mysteriously" dissapered. I only stayed for two nights so it wasn't a big deal but it's the principle of the matter. If you are going to stay here, only book for one night and talk to the owners to prolong your stay and by doing this you won't be double charged. The bungalows themselves were set by a dumping ground, so we got bitten a rediculous amount. The toilet broke, staff arnt helpful and just wasn't what we expected. Also lizards at night.
