  When I'm visiting st Gallen I always try to stay in Einstein. It's definitely the best hotel in town in terms of location, quality and services. A bit more pricey, but it is worth it. Free spa and gym, free high speed wifi - Upgrade to junior suite, although hotel was under renovation for regular rooms. Breakfast was superb!

Love the concept of having a small hotel within a senior's home - good for guests as well as residents.   The hotel was in an excellent position to see the old town as it is in the centre of the pedestrian/shopping area of St Gallen. It is an easy walk to the library and cathedral. There was a lift, the room was small but clean and for a change, plenty of lighting. A good hotel if you don't have a car. - The owner/manager(?) was absolutely wonderful ... τι λέει ο κόσμος » in that he helped us in any way possible to park our rental car, unload all the luggage, etc. He made our stay in St. Gallen a very pleasant experience and the location of the hotel is outstanding, directly in the center of town.
