The hostel has been completely renovated and everything seems brand-new. There is a fully appointed kitchen and communal dining room with dishes and cutlery. We weren't quite sure what to expect as we had not stayed in a hostel before. No problems though - the rooms and facilities were exceptionally clean and had everything we needed for our one night's passing stay. Excellent.

Easy to get around - tourist information good. Small town, very picturesque. Would stay there again. Easy enough to get to Mt Titlis, Mt Pilatus. With public transport and cable cars. -

Staff were wonderful, breakfast great and she stayed ready to give us food in the evening as we cycled from Zurich. -

My stay was during the very dead season and during my first of two nights I was the only guest. None the less, the proprietor saw that I was well taken care of in simple, yet meticulously clean and well cared for premises. Hospental is a very small village in the middle of nice pastoral scenery, yet has hourly train service in each direction. -

The kitchen with facilitites like microwave oven and fridge came as a
great benefit as the food in the restaurant is very expensive. There is
a place to sit and relax in the balcony of each floor. Walking distance
(around 10 minutes) from the Luzern rail station and the Lucerne lake.

A fully equipped kitchen where one can prepare ones meals.A refrigerator to store personal food items with a labeling system that avoids mix ups.Excellent location whereby bus no 1 from the train station drops you just opposite the entrance. It has locker provisions where after check out the bags can be left to be picked up later. Excellent value for money.

It is located near Engelberg train station and has a breathtaking view all over.
