It has a very great view of the lake and temple. Sometimes the monkeys will come to check on you outside of your window. It is not far from city center- good location with good view and comfortable bed.The owner of the hotel is very warm and take good care of their guests. The staffs are kind and friendly. I travelled alone but felt safe. The view from the room is alsobrilliant, you can see the Kandy Lake beautifully. I liked that I could use wi-fi in the room. The room rate was quite cheap for this area, but I was surtisfied their survice.

The view from the balcony was outstanding. Great staff, very friendly. The holiday inn is located on a hill near Kandy lake, overlooking the Kandy lake and Temple of Tooth. Air is fresh, view from room balcony is good.The owner arranged airport pick up service from Colombo to Kandy, and rental car from Kandy to Galle for us, the price was good. Because we needed to rental car the night before departure, so was a bit expencive, but acceptable. Breakfast was simple and nice. Staff was friendly. The room was fine and clean. Bathroom was practical. Superb view on Kandy Lake, close to the city. Good view and reasonably priced. Great view over lake. nice service. The location was good, with easy walking access to the town centre. The staff were generally helpful and always smiling. Amazing view from my window - very relaxing to sit on the balcony and overlook the lake and town. Excellent view of the lake. Fairly easy walk into town using the short cut. The view, the price and the staff. Great view from the balcony. A little bit cold in the night. There should have been more branket. a little bit noisy in the night. It's clean but very simple and basic. - Room is very clean, but our bathroom door was locked midnight. We needed to call staffs to fix late at night. Mosquitoes, and its normal in kandy but no mosquitoes when a/c switching on. the sheets, the martress and no air conditioning. Watch out for the monkeys. Bathroom was tiny. Room was not cleaned during our stay. Be careful not to spill any sweet drinks or left some food over, ants will come in. The staff was not service minded and weak in english language. Many things was misunderstood. Staff hardly speak english and was hard to meet any of them near the reception. Time of preparing food was insane - it took 2,5 hours to prepare rice&curry... (at least the food was good). Steep climb up from city. room with a lot of insects. The rooms weren't great in terms of decor, and the interior lighting was dingy. Value for money was not good. Bathroom was filthy and room overall was extremely dated. Also very noisy, with the "restaurant" situated directly outside the door. Problems with hot water. Unprofessional staff who seemed not to do much, room was not cleaned unless you asked for it to be cleaned. Air-conditioning malfunction at 3am, however, the fan was a good substitute. No refrigerator. No hair-dryer. Bed sheets very old. Blanket very small. Double bed was two singles. Could not adjust Air Con - it was either on or off. Warning, warning, warning. We left door open to secure balcony, went out for a walk, and monkeys got in and played havoc. There was no notice to warn about this. Manageress partly compensated us for cosmetics lost. The staff were friendly and so nice but needed training in hospitality.
