Casa Rural Las Canteras is located in the Extremadura countryside, 10 km outside the town of Trujillo, in a birdwatching reserve. It has free WiFi in public areas. Merida is within an hour's drive of the property and Caceres is 40 minutes' drive away.

A great place to stay for our group of birdwatchers. The host has local knowledge and information about birding sites and the good home-cooked food and realxing atmosphere make a lovely place to return to after a day out. Bonus, of course, of the storks nesting in the garden !. We stayed in the hotel for one night. Location of the hotel is suitable for the country rest. Very friendly owner, speaks English well.
