  Excellent location near the Metro and many restaurants. Friendly, helpful people at the front desk who helped make dinner reservations for us. Good WiFi in our room. Comfortable beds and quiet A/C. - I really liked staying here. The location is close to everything, the staff was really nice to us and the room was quite at night.

  The room was very nice and beautiful, nicely decorated, probably recently renovated. The lady who owned the establishment was very nice talkative and willing to help. The room was very clean and above of that there was cleaning service everyday. Hostal Luz is situated in the center of Madrid, 5 minute walk to the shopping avenue and Plaza Mayor.   This is an ideal Hostal in which to stay - the central location is excellent with many of the major sights within walking distance. The staff were friendly, helpful and extremely courteous. The rooms were a good size considering it is an old converted building. The rooms were clean and serviced every day.   Pickpocketed on way to hotel on metro so no cash at all. Staff at hotel very helpful even with limited english! They phoned police and they allowed us to use hotel phone to contact home for money transfer. Great breakfast and coffee facilities - very central. cool concept. highly recommended.

  The Staff was really friendly and helpful. The size of the room was great for me and just enough for two. wifi is in the room. Great price in an excellent location; it was very easy to find everything and the staff gave me a map and explained a bit about where I was. The staff was helpful and kind they gave me my breakfast at night since I was leaving very early before the breakfast is served. There are a lot of restaurants and cafes next to the hostel.

  location is more than perfect in the middle of the very live street in Madrid. you can just go down and you will see people still going walking everywhere even at 2:00pm. Staff were friendly and you can leave your luggage there after checking out.   Clean and comfortable room. Helpful staff. Excellent value for money. Its location near the pedestrianized area around the Plaza Mayor makes it very quiet.
