  A nice, very clean and cosy hotel with a perfect location close to the heart of Madrid. Also, the subway station is just nearby, i.e. within 3 min. walk down the same street.   We stayed here just one night here after our flight arrived in Madrid and we needed a hostel that was affordable and within walking distance to the train station for our early departure the next morning. It's not a fancy building on an attractive boulevard, but it's within a short walking distance to the train station, which is all - It's an hostal, not an hotel. Said that, everithing was really good: WiFi decent, clean room (they clean it every day) and the staff is very helpful. Position is very good: really close to atocha, to the retiro gardens, the Prado, the modern art museum.. And close to city centre as well. In case in the district there are too different bars/pubs..

  In early Aug 2013, it was very hot in Madrid. I arrived to find there was no aircon in any room due to a generator failure. Too tired to relocate I stayed anyway. It was a very hot and uncomfortable night. If this is an indication of Eurostar policy, I am impressed. - Hotel is renovated and is very trendy, our room was good and clean. Cleaning was done well. We had no problems at all. We didn't take breakfast so cannot comment on it. It is well situated, with a tube stop just 3 minutes walk from the door. All major tourists sites are withing walking distance, Plaza del Sol only 5-7 mins away (Prado musem is about 15-20 minutes, so as Plaza Espania).

  The staff was really nice and at our service all the time. It was very clean and the two bedroom room is relly big and has it's own bathroom, and the price for 6 days was excellent. The location of the hostel is very good, everything in the center of Madrid is nearby, in the walking distance, especially the most famous museums in Madrid. Your really cant complain too much when it's about 30 euros a night in this location. Facility is a bit outdated, but it is cheaper and yet still a lot better and more comfortable than most hostels in Europe of that price range. It is clean for the most part and staff is friendly. We got a three people room for 30 a night.

  We stayed for 2 nights on our arrival to Madrid (into Atocha Station, which is about a 10 minute walk straight down Calle Atocha); the young, ultra-helpful staff was a pleasure to deal with - they are sharp people and we found no shortage of good English among them.
