3. We booked the room without kitchen, so we do not found the water boiler. But after house holder know we need it, they gave us one.

We spent just one night at the Hostal Macarena, when passing Madrid on our way back from holiday. It's a lovely place in the heart of Madrid (Plaza Mayor is just behind the corner!), surrounded by many bars, restaurants and little stores. The room is quite small, but well equipped and clean. Staff doesn't speak very good English, but is very nice.

Location, location, location! Two steps from the plaza Mayor and many other attractions, located on a little street with animation. Staff is courteous and helpful. They kept our luggage all day so we could walk around freely untill we left to take the train. Room was clean, confortable and big enough. Very good quality for the price. I recommend this hotel wihtout any hesitation.

The staff were super nice. Breakfast was till 11am (super late compared to other places) and was simple but fresh and delicious. The room was more than we had hoped for. We asked for a room with a balcony and thats exactly what we got. Great location and just a really nice place to come to at the end of a long day sightseeing.

The location is perfect (close to main squares and public transportation). Staff is very friendly. Rooms are always clean. Single rooms are very small but if you are looking for just place to sleep, perfect for money vs. quality,service,comfort and location. Easy transportation possibilities from the airport (one bus and 4 metro stops).

This is an ideal Hostal in which to stay - the central location is excellent with many of the major sights within walking distance. The staff were friendly, helpful and extremely courteous. Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff, 24h reception. Rooms were small but cosy, and with plenty of space to put your luggage/stuff, big tables (if you want to use your laptop etc), minifridge. With the windows closed there is no problem with the noise from the busy street on which it is located.
