The staff was wonderful and a great source of information. The location was about a 10 minute walk to the train station and central to the main streets. Location of the hotel is excellent. Close to a metro station and in the middle of Las Ramblas and El Borne. In winter, el borne is a better place to be close rather than since la rambla. The staff has made really nice improvements and facilities in the hotel, that's nice. But some of the stuff like towels and sheets are really too old.

The staff were very nice and understanding. They kept my reservation even though my credit card had failed and there wasn't any chance to call my bank as I was in transit from Rome. This was the best place we stayed in our 2 week holiday in Barcelona, Paris and Rome. My family loved the place and wish we had discovered it earlier. Exceptionally clean and neat with modern decor. Loved the pictures at the reception.

Couldn't ask for a better location, right next to the metro and on las ramblas. Our room was really modern and exceptionally clean with a balcony overlooking las ramblas. Excellent value for money, especially as we got one large room for four of us. Raj on reception was so friendly and helpful, and went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. I will definitely be staying again!

I got a single room with private toilet and bathroom. The staff knew English a little, but they are very kind and helpful. They tried the best to answer my questions. The room was clean and comfortable, and it was really better than what I expected from a hostel.

Hostel fontanela is great-location is few minutes from city center and

The room was small (perfect for a young couple) but everything seemed new and very clean. We had a small balcony off our room which was lovely and let lots of sunlight in. I was impressed by the quality for how much we paid. Great location for tourist attractions and just for wandering. Convenient underground parking garages close by. -

This hotel is very well located a short walk to the old city and public
transport. The décor and fittings were all first class, very clean and
nice. The rooms were very quiet even with a view to the street. The
king bed was extremely comfortable and the tv had many English
channels. The manager was extremely helpful and keen to please. There
is no front desk nor is there a clear big sign identifying the entry,
you need to call the manager to gain entry. The car-park is in the next
