  My wife and i thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Colon hotel and would recomend this hotel as an excellent central location to explore Barcelona. You are right in the centre but yet in a very quiet peacful location just off La Rambla ideal for all restaurants, the bus tours etc which are a must for anybody visiting the city. The hotel itself is beautiful and kept up. Our room was lovely with a terrace overlooking the Cathedral. Staff was very accommodating and recommended excellent restaurants. But some of the stuff like towels and sheets are really too old.

  Receptionist were so nice and helpful. Also it was safe at the hotel, since La Rambla is not so safe at night the hotel locked their doors. Also loved the central location.
