  The hotel is located in the center of the city only a short two blocks from the Sol Metro station. We could walk to the major areas of interest and the Atocha train station (cab with luggage). There are dozens of tapas bars near the hotel. Finding "sit down" dinner restaurants was tougher but when we did the food was excellent. The hotel staff ... τι λέει ο κόσμος » was very helpful and courteous. - It was very comfortable indeed, in the heart of Madrid, with an excellent cafe for breakfast in the hotel itself. In addition, the price for the room represented excellent value for money and if the hotel had not been fully-booked, we would have stayed longer at it.

  The architecture, decor, imaginative aesthetic were fabulous. The staff were courteous and helpful. The owner, in particular, was welcoming and charming--he has a real vision. - The location was paramount, just around the corner from our daughter's address.
