This unique, 4-star hotel is located on the border of Kruger National Park. It offers safaris through the park and an outdoor pool. The modern rooms have a balcony. The chic guest units at Maqueda Lodge Kruger Park feature a thatched roof, South African décor and dark wood furniture. Each has a seating area and tea and coffee making facilities. Free parking is offered on site and staff can help organise car and bicycle rental. There is a tour desk available which offers information on local cycling and horse riding trips. Fine dining can be enjoyed al fresco in the Maqueda Lodge’s boma, a traditional, South African enclosure. staff is fantastic, friendly, helpful, excellent cuisine, beautiful atmosphere, beyond what a normal hotel can offer, small, smart & charming. The Location, the personnel People, the other guests, the Food the ambience. Friendly hosts. rooms were somewhat Basic by european Standards but that did not affect us. No air conditioning. No tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Tiny bathroom and shower.

Geelslang 1791, Maqueda Lodge. Alternatively transfer can be arranged from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport in Nelspruit.
