We liked the friendliness of the staff. We stayed the first two days and
the last two days of our trip to South Africa and we were upgraded to a
suite which was very much appreciated...we had stayed in the hotel five
years ago and it was exactly as I remembered it and we will definitely

The staff were friendly, polite and very helpful, always smiling, and solicitous without being in your face. Breakfast was plentiful, lots of choices and value for money; use of the business centre at no extra cost was a godsend - see wi-fi
The entrance/lobby very spacious and felt homely. I would definitely stay at the Portswood again

The view of table mountain, signal hill and the lion head from the hotel window was picturesque. The bathtub was perfect for a honeymoon. They also have an excellent shuttle service to the water front. The food is to die for. -

This was an excellent hotel. It was situated just outside the Waterfront and although you could walk there, they had a courtesy bus that ran every half hour. It was also situated near to the cental area. We arrived early and they looked after our luggage until the room was ready. The room was clean and had all the facilities you would expect. The s

The rooms and service is very good. The location of the hotel is good and the use of the free shuttle to the Vand A water front is very useful. If you get a good rate this is the hotel to stay in.

We got a very good rate. The hotel is modern, luxurious enough and in a
great location, 15 drive to Cape Town City, but with plenty to do right
on the doorstep. We traveled with our 4 year old, and they made a comfy
bed for her on the floor, but as the Executive suite was designed with a
divide between the lounge/kitchen and the bed, we still had

It was my husband's 30th birthday and the hotel went out of their way to make it extra special for him. Special mention to Daphne and Mandla whom really went out of their way to make our stay extra special. I loved the room beyond everything and felt really cosy. I will definitely be back to stay at the hotel:). Thank you to your hotel and amazing staff.

First class luxury at a reasonable price. All four of us agreed this was the best hotel we ever stayed at. This hotel lived up to all our expectations and more. We arrived at 10.30am and expected to just leave our luggage, but we were given our room straight away. The staff is extremely knowledgable and friendly, the hotel is almost a B&B but with private facilities, easy to walk to most in town attractions, excellent breakfast very good and convenient before the start to the day, good connection to WIFI. I have stay at this hotel each year for a week for business. I noticed this time that the same staff are still working there. I think this says a lot about staff turnover. The staff are very positive always happy to hep, nothing is ever to hard. I had an issue with a pick up being late and it was dealt with quickly and the transport manager was waiting for me to apologise for the error. This hotel is a beautiful place and when you are here you are treated as family, a pleasure staying

Fabulous location opposite Tea Gardens with stunning views of Table Mountain. Staff friendly and helpful. Good quality food in restaurant. Would reccomend. -
