The complimentary wifi and mini bar, which was replenished daily, are a very nice touch and something that hardly any boutique hotel of this size offers.
Our room was lovely, spacious, clean and luxurious and with a great view of the ocean.
Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful and that just made it an even nicer place to stay.
Will definitely be returning.

The rooms are stunning and really tastefully decked out and it's well situated for central Cape Town and the VandA shopping centre. It's the nicest place we've ever stayed and we will definitely go back if we can!

We liked the friendliness of the staff. We stayed the first two days and
the last two days of our trip to South Africa and we were upgraded to a
suite which was very much appreciated...we had stayed in the hotel five
years ago and it was exactly as I remembered it and we will definitely

The staff were friendly, polite and very helpful, always smiling, and solicitous without being in your face. Breakfast was plentiful, lots of choices and value for money; use of the business centre at no extra cost was a godsend - see wi-fi
The entrance/lobby very spacious and felt homely. I would definitely stay at the Portswood again

Superb room, such helpful staff, good breakfasts, wonderful views, secure, well-located for access to sights (taxis are incredibly cheap), friendly manager and reasonably priced. -

The view of table mountain, signal hill and the lion head from the hotel window was picturesque. The bathtub was perfect for a honeymoon. They also have an excellent shuttle service to the water front. The food is to die for. -

This was an excellent hotel. It was situated just outside the Waterfront and although you could walk there, they had a courtesy bus that ran every half hour. It was also situated near to the cental area. We arrived early and they looked after our luggage until the room was ready. The room was clean and had all the facilities you would expect. The s

The rooms and service is very good. The location of the hotel is good and the use of the free shuttle to the Vand A water front is very useful. If you get a good rate this is the hotel to stay in.

location and pool and gardens - Smily and friendly staff. Great breakfast, fab views and nice big pool. Secure grounds with electric gate w/ night security was a benefit as I was travelling solo. A lovely stay and a short walk to gorgeous beaches of Camps Bay

We got a very good rate. The hotel is modern, luxurious enough and in a
great location, 15 drive to Cape Town City, but with plenty to do right
on the doorstep. We traveled with our 4 year old, and they made a comfy
bed for her on the floor, but as the Executive suite was designed with a

It was my husband's 30th birthday and the hotel went out of their way to make it extra special for him. Special mention to Daphne and Mandla whom really went out of their way to make our stay extra special. I loved the room beyond everything and felt really cosy. I will definitely be back to stay at the hotel:). Thank you to your hotel and amazing staff.

First class luxury at a reasonable price. All four of us agreed this was the best hotel we ever stayed at.
