The interior design looks classic and comfortable. The room is clean and have a vintage feel. Stuffs are polite too and location is good for visitors who can chill at the pubs around. Really liked this place. Good location and the room had a lot of character. Highly recommend, especially for the price. Location is really superb and the staff is really helpful and friendly. Would def recommend this to friends.

The location would be great if you could go out at night, but a sleeping baby didn't allow that. shower head can be pulled from the hook, it makes me easier to control where the water should go. the style of the hotel. The design of the room and hotel was vintage, which was not bad.. The a/c system is noisy maybe due to old building. Ants can be seen on the writing table. Nothing to complain. hairdryer very weak, mould in shower, strange smell in corridors and carpet stains, couldn't see TV from bed. The lightnings in the room was too dim, which gives it a creepy feeling. Couldn't get early check-in, but not really the hotel's fault. room lighting a little dark and a few ants around. Nothing. The room I had was quite small but the furniture bulky, especially the tv/coffee making cabinet by the bed-end is very tight. The bed is not as comfy as it looks too. Some if the rooms suffered from damp (dank smelling and sheets felt clammy). Although the staff didn't hesitate to move us to another room, that too suffered from damp. Took three moves to find dry rooms. Confusing breakfast arrangements, poor shower compared to other rooms. Outside of the lobby area the hotel is very tired & is need of a major upgrade - especially the rooms & corridors/carpets. It all feels a bit dated. Sure it's an "antique hotel" but there are cracks in the ceiling, crappy carpet, a leaky shower and the like. Quite overpriced for what you get - but that's the Singapore experience. room is too small. not enough light inthe room. The service was poor. Me and m bf rch there at 4.30pm and we didn't get to check in. But when we finally got the room, it was a twin bed which was stated at website is a queen bed. We requested to change the room and it took us another 1.5hrs to wait for the next available room.
