It was lovely and modern, very clean and the location was good. It was great for 2 families or 2 couples and has everything you could possibly need. The car park is great if you have a car, it is undercover and very secure.

All of the staff were gracious and solicitous. Our room, though without a canal or garden view, was beautifully designed and exceptionally quiet. One of the reasons we chose Canal House was the garden which exceeded our expectations as a comfortable and beautiful place to chill out, read and enjoy a pre-dinner aperitif. As I needed to rest my foot one day, it was a particularly welcome amenity.

Charles, the owner, was extremely attentive and helpful. He made us most welcome and wanted to make our stay as comfortable and as memorable as possible. Bed was so so comfy! Nice traditional features. 10% off in the restaurant underneath and the food was delicious! Such a central location - we could just walk everywhere so no money spent on travel. -

The service was outstanding - staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgable and really went out of their way. The building itself is spectacular - the architectural design and merging of old and new to create a dynamic lifestyle experience with the comfort of the new and the charm and character of the old.
