The owner/staff were fantastic - friendly, thoughtful, knowledgeable. The single rooms were on the small side, as it is an old family house but that added to the character. It felt like being a house, rather than a hotel, guest. There were great extra touches like fresh flowers everywhere and a newspaper at breakfast. I would absolutely recommend s

He offered to assist me in carrying a tray of food to my room for my sleepy sister on at least three mornings. Our room was comfortable, spacious and clean. The hotel is conveniently located on tram line #2. The hotel sells tram line and Van Gogh museum tickets. Wonderful!

The staff were always very friendly and helpful. They also let me bring my dog, and were very nice to him as well :) The location was great, it was very near many of the main museums, within walking distance, and the tram stops were about 5 min walk away. Parking was more difficult, but we were able to find a spot on the street nearby, and parking

Quiet location and spacious room: it is definitely worth staying slightly outside the city centre for these comforts. The hotel is also within easy walking distance of the three major art galleries and the Vondelpark, which is great for picnics, reading and people-watching if you want a break from the hustle and bustle (or from all those paintings!).
