  My boyfriend and I booked a two night stay here on a trek through Marrakech. Having never been to the city before we didn't know much about location, ammenities or prices. Fortunately this place is like a diamond in the rough!!! This hotel is located close to the city train hub and in the heart of the "new city". There are many restaurants, bars and shopping right arou - The room was as described and everthing worked as it should. We arrived late, around 10.30pm, and we're told by reception that the restaurants in the area would be closed. Well, we walked outside and on the corner was a very busy simple style fish restaurant.   Nice hotel in the middle of Guerliz. Extremely friendly staff. One of our group had to go (unexpectedly) to the hospital at 22:00 hours. The directrice was so kind to drive us there and helped us in the hospital.   The staff at this riad were lovely. They were attentive yet gave enough space to relax but were available whenever needed and very friendly and warm. The roof terrace is great, it gets the sun until its close to setting and has a choice of sitting areas, including a bed! El Riad is a perfect place to rest from thw wonderfull chaos that is marraquexe.
