A 10-minute walk from JR Shimosuwa Train Station, Gingetsu offers accommodations with a flat-screen TV and Japanese Yukata robes. Guests can refresh in the indoor/outdoor hot-spring baths and use free wired internet at the lobby. Lake Suwa is a 15-minute walk away.
The air-conditioned rooms feature a private toilet, a fridge and electric kettle with green tea bags. Rooms come with a tatami (woven-straw) area and guests can choose to sleep in rooms with Japanese futon bedding or Western beds. Some rooms come with a private bathroom with a bathtub.
Gingetsu Ryokan is a 15-minute drive from Suwa Takashima Castle and a 10-minute walk from Suwa Taisha Shimosha Akimiya Shrine.
A humidifier and a trouser press can be borrowed at the front desk, and a free-use launderette is on-site. Luggage storage is also available and local souvenirs can be bought at the gift shop.
Traditional multi-course meals are offered for dinner and served at the guests’ rooms. A Japanese set breakfast is served at the shared dining room.
