Located in the heart of Kyoto, Ryokan Sanga offers traditional Japanese-style accommodations with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and Japanese futon bedding. Delicious meals are served in the rooms with Nakai (personal attendant) services. Karasuma Oike Subway Station is just a 7-minute walk from the property. Popular Kiyomizu-dera Temple is a 15-minute drive away, while Kinkakuji Temple with a golden pagoda is a 20-minute drive from the property. Lively Kyoto Nishiki Market is just a 5-minute walk away. All air-conditioned rooms at Sanga Ryokan are fitted with a TV and a telephone. A kettle and green tea bags are also included. Guests are free to try on Japanese yukata robes. Private toilet comes with the room, while large public baths are shared. Staff at the front desk can arrange taxis and in-room massage services (charges apply). Incredibly lovely family run inn, exceptionally clean and staff always mor than willing to go the extra mile to make the stay more comfortable. We were greeted by fresh green tea and little Japanese snacks every day and really couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Absolutely lovely. The staff were all very nice and spoke English. The futons were very comfortable and the baths were great. I would definitely go back again.
