I like the locatioin,it was very convienent,hospitality was good,safety good,cleanliness was good,no problem returning for another vacation at a later date.
The staff at the hotel was very friendly and accomodating. They were not the uniformed, plastic smile type you encounter in other more established hotels.
I did not like the fact that my room was not ready at the check-in time, and in spite of the wait was not even offered a beverage. The rooms need to be upgraded to make it more comfortable, particularly with respect to sound, as the guests next door could be heard very clearly in the corridors on mornings. Additionally, the bar closes at 10:00pm on a Saturday night. That can't be right. You are driving customers to your competing neighbours.

I enjoyed the comfort and the privacy of the property. The front desk staff was nice and friendly. I like the extra touch of a insect repellent in the room.
Dislike the attitude of one of the security guard at the gate, she was very rude and obnoxious. Disliked that breakfast was offered but limited to what I could get ie no coffee with juice. The furniture could do with a bit of revamping.

no airport shuttle, i had to call my friend to pick me up and they got lost at first because they had a mix up with another place with a similar name. pest control need improving,flies around tables at meal time is very unpleasant, try natural bug repellenting plants as table decor, i know there is one for mosquitoes, so there should be one for the flies too. i can ask my friend who owns a private botany for some useful information should they wish to do somethig about it
I liked the old style country club ambience, spaciousness and sportiness. Relaxed atmosphere and attitude of staff. Very helpful and friendly. Jamaican food was excellent, though breakfast serving was small.
very little I didn't like. no local tv channels, only ten channels available. Internet was intermittent. Room next to mine was being renovated with jackhammer for a long time. otherwise everything was as they stated.
The country feel in the city. Appreciated the trees, the mountain view, the sporting facilities, and fresh breath of air when you opened the door that led to a porch. Courteous staff and delightful breakfast for the rate charged. Conveniently located to the Emancipation park, the jerk joint, and downtown shopping just like the Courtleigh hotel. Room was just as advertised.
The shower area can be bigger. A little more upgrade with the television system. A little modern touch to the wood fixtures, but keeping the same rustic country feel. Some people here and in Jamaica didn't know that it's a place for vacation because of the word club. A small suggestion for making the name more inclusive as a hotel. In travelling we got where......you going? Also, the museum is not a straight drive along Knutsford avenue. The name of street should be provided.

The bathrooms and rooms could do with some upgrade. Example: rooms could be better furnished with two full sized beds and a painting or picture on the walls. Direction to use phone or safe could be placed in room so guests don't have to call front desk for just that. Then the cost could be added to the rooms bill.
I liked that it was very Jamaican and I felt part of the city I was visiting. The food was pretty good and everyone pleasant and polite. The location was very convenient. Grounds were pleasant and pool was clean and uncrowded. Great bath towels!
The rooms need updating especially the bathrooms and it needs a decent telephone system as going through the operator was time consuming and expensive. The gym too seriously needs updating. Keep the old world feel but make it efficient with a little luxury!
