Great location in the old city with a lovely garden at the top. No lift, but if you are going to a hill town you are going to be using lots of stairs anyways. No lift was not a problem for us, but some people may, We had a view over the street from their top floor. It was interesting to watch the town wake up in the morning.

Very welcoming, and helpful owners An old characterful building with clean, quiet and secure room with aircon and only a 5 minute walk with steps up to the main gate into old Volterra - fantastic! Breakfast had good variety. Enjoyed our stay and would most certainly return. -

We spent one night on the way to Elba. Fantastic Tuscan views, peace and total relaxation on the go. Maybe a little hard to get to the destination. I would recommend for people who like detachment from the crowds. Near the 20 to 30 km two wonderful small and charming towns. Good restaurant. Highly recommended for a relaxing break or stopover. -

The room was great with everything you could need and was overlooking the valley and Volterra.

We stayed in Volterra one night on our way to Florence since my wife
said we had to stay in a small Tuscan town. The town was fantastic. The
hotel was excellent - very cozy room with a nice bathroom, and very
quiet, and very clean. The breakfast made our day - it was fantastic and

The location, just outside the town of Volterra is excellent - five
minutes walk from the old town without the bother of parking in a very
congested place.
The breakfast was a feast in itself. The owner was a mine of information and recommended an excellent local restaurant, La Balze, for evening meals.

Staff were excellent - extremely helpful. The location was lovely. We enjoyed our stay so much that we went back for another night a week later and would recommend the hotel to anyone. - Views are only spectacular!. Rooms were comfortable, a/c worked well.Food in resturant was pricey but very tasty. Pool and jacuzzi excellent.Staff very friendly, p

Friendly and very helpful staff, perfectly clean room, toilet and the whole bathroom desinfected daily and 10 minute walk to the very centre of the town - these are things that made this hotel excellent. There was a really nice atmosphere there and we have met with really personal treatment. All my questions and requests to the staff were answered,

I will surely stay in - Location is perfect (there is a parking lot which is rare in Volterra) Family run hotel with very efficient owners. Volterra is a bit far and up but stil walking distance uphill and therefore Hotel is very quiet Breakfast is outstanding (the best breakfast ever seen in this hotel category - all guests complimented owner for its quality - only regret made by a Swede was no trout !)
