  Torre Sangiovanni is a lovely, perfect place to stay and enjoy fine dining. I felt like a "Princess in my Castle". I was traveling alone, stayed for five nights and enjoyed phenomenal food each night. The menu is large and varied plus there is a nice wine list. Breakfast was delightful with wonderful pastries, eggs, meats and cheeses, cereal, etc.... τι λέει ο κόσμος » Torre Sangiovanni is very central for exploring the area; Todi, Orvieto, Civita di Bagnoregio (the proprietor's suggestion), Siena, Assisi, Montefalc - Beautiful, spacious and comfortable furnished accommodation in a medieval building next to the medieval tower. The meals were some of the best we had in Italy - with foods and flavours of the locality - gourmet meals reasonably priced. Our host (who may also be the chef?) was warm, welcoming and extremely helpful even coming to find us and guide us to the hotel when we got lost. We had a wonderful time and strongly recommend.

  Alex was very kind and without asking he placed an extra heater in the bedroom as the person travelling with my was a bit sick. The premises are well kept and it's not an hostel at all. He s very caring and his family cooked for us for dinner an excellent selection of local food.   Everything was perfect,. from the moment we arrived. Maximo and his family go all out to make sure all your needs are met. The mother bakes different tasty cakes every morning. They are a wealth of information about the area. We went to Spello because of their suggestion and it was magical. The apt. is very clean and well furnished..we felt at hom... τι λέει ο κόσμος » e. The view is magnificent. We are planning to return in the summer. HIGHLY recommend!!!!!!!! - The welcome given by Maximo on arrival was excellent - home made wine, bruchetta & cherries, along with a beautiful view whilst enjoying them. Maximo's mother is a great cook providing delicious cake's for breakfast. The accommodation was very comfortable & only a few minutes from Assisi. We were also fortunate to see fireflies at night, a phenomenon we hadn't experienced before.
