  We drove my little Fiat up and down the amazing Amalfi Coast and stayed 3days/2nights. We should have stayed longer. It was late January and there was still plenty to do and see. Winter is now my favourite season to discover Italy. Sure it might rain a little but usually crisp sunny days. Only real people about. No crowds. Very affordable prices for accomodation and restaurants everywhere you go serving the real, no frills, fantastic and fresh cuisin - I stayed at this hotel with my family as we were attending a wedding. Upon arrival which was quite late, being 00:00, I was greeted and offered a drink while I was checked in. This was very pleasant after a long journey, and exceptional considering the time. My parents had already been checked in, I was shown to my room. The rooms were bright and spacious, and very clean, with a panoramic view of the sea, and mountain side. Villa Rocla is about a 15 minute walk to/from Pompei Scavi (both the excavation and the train station. You can take the circumvesuviana line to Sorrento, Napoli, Ercolano (Herculaneum). From Villa Rocla the town of Pompei is about a 25 min walk on foot along a footpath. - The B&B is tucked away. The large rooms are clean and provide all the facilities. Maria, Claudia and Roberto are very helpful hosts - who are keen to make your stay and any local visits to the archeological sites as perfect as possible. The B&B is less than ten minutes walk to the Naples/Sorrento train station and also 10 minutes from the main entrances to historic Pompeii. The main shopping centre of Pompeii is a 15-20 minute stroll and has many restaurants.
