The room was large and comfortable. The owners were very nice. Unfortunately, they didn't speak much English and our Italian was poor although their son was quite good and very helpful. That however is not their problem but ours. I was very interested in seeing his motorcycle collection and recommend that any visitor interested in 2 wheeled vehicl

This family owned business is first class. The room we had was beautiful and spacious. The best thing about it for me was the air conditioning in the room. Most Italians are anti-air conditioning but it was 100 degrees the day we were there and the first thing I did was turn that cool air on. The breakfast selections were great and the setting was modern and fun.

The hotel is beautiful as is the location. The staff were excellent and could not do enough to help. Stayed in the new wing of the hotel, the room was very big as was the bathroom (which was bigger than a lot of hotel rooms I stayed in in Italy). Breakfast was great, with a decent selection. No restaurant in evening but there are two restaurants within 5 min walk and the hotel has a selection of menu's if you wish to order food in, and they provide plates etc.

Picked from the internet this hotel turned out to be a real find.Easy walking distance of the old town, secure car park, easy to find, quiet area, had the best buffet breakfast we had in 3 weeks in Italy including much more expensive hotels. Real fruit, crush your oranges for juice!

The location in the old city, from where you can walk to all the main points like the duomo, the shopping areas or the Ferrari museum.
The decoration, rich and classic; the spacious room.
They accept dogs; wifi is free; there is (paid) valet-parking.
Staff was courteous.
Breakfast is very good; we did not have dinner in the restaurant. -

We travelled around Emilia-Romagna during our Easter holidays and the first stop was in Modena. We had a family room at the hotel and it includes 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. Always a bonus for a solo, oldie, traveller to get a full size double
room rather than a pokey broom-cupboard.
This family run hotel is a joy to stay in with the Old Town just a five minute walk away.
I keep seeing other reviewers moaning about lack of variety for breakfast in these budget priced hotels but, for goodness sake, a good supply of coffee, toast, spreads, juices and yoghurt is quite enough and that's what you get here plus the pleasant conversation with the hard-working proprietor.
