  We arrived very late the hotel had ensured that we were welcomed. The room was large and comfortable and very warm. The staff/owners were very helpful and the breakfast was more than we expected.   We arrived earlier than 15h (the time you normally can check-in). The cleaning lady called the owner and he arrived 5 minutes later. We already could check in. He was very helpful and nice. The accommodation looks a little like a motel and that has its charms. The room was very spacious with a big bed, a large closet and a little kitchen.   This was a delightful place to stay with Manuela being so helpful and friendly to all her guests. Breakfast was lovely and when weather was nice we got to mingle with other guests - even in the afternoon when we could sit in garden having tea and coffee with whoever was around from sightseeing the town which is only 2 to 3 minute walk away. The beds were comfortable. The location is great, very close to the walls of central Lucca. It's in a quiet neigborhood with small shops (pastry, laundry, and others) within a short walk. Breakfast was better than expected and again the owner is the perfect host.
