  In general the room, the staff who was very kind. People often complain about the breakfast but I think it is just fine. It is enough, at least :) Everything was clean, so nothing to say there.   We upgraded our room for a (discounted) 35 Euros per night. We stayed in "The Tower" which was a room on 3 floors with an old stone winding staircase. It was incredible. The top floor (the bedroom) had 360 degree views of Florence for miles. Very romantic and very comfortable. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Valen - Absolutely wonderful hotel right in centre of old Florence. Everything you would want to see is just a short pleasant walk away. Our deluxe room was very big, clean and comfortable with a frame bed and huge couch. The breakfast is amazing with a huge selection of dishes. The staff are all very friendly, efficient and helpful. The breakfast staff even remember what you like and bring it without asking. My wife and I stayed for six nights and would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

  It was only about a 10 minute walk from the Florence train station. Hotel was easy to find & has an elevator to the 3rd floor. We had a large room that did not have any street noise. The rooms are furnished with Ikea type furniture - sort of stark. We had windows that opened. We didn't need heating or cooling when we were there. During our stay, my boyfriend celebrated his b-day. Imagine our surprise when we arrived at breakfast room and found Gina with a millefoglie cake and champagne for us both!
