This is a perfect place to stay for your trip to Rome.
The location is perfect - 3 mins to the Forum, 15 mins walking from Termini railway staitaion, etc.. We used the metro just once, to get to Vatican.
It is a nice, small family owned place. There are just 4 rooms there.

This little place is gorgeous, well located in a quiet little street
near via Cavour with an excellent restaurant across the street. I was
met by a gorgeous man, Leone, who despite my late arrival was really
nice. The only criticism was that the promised breakfast was really bad,
so don't depend on it. The area is well serviced by other bars etc,
so eat breakfast out. Just make sure you avoid Gran Caffe Cavour, in via
Cavour, as a coffee there will set you back more than 6.60euro!!!!

This hotel seemed practically brand new so was very clean. Our rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels and plenty of water, coffee, tea, milk croissants, biscuits and jam provided free of charge, which was a god send after a busy day of sight seeing. Look no further than the Colosseoin. It is in a fantastic location with a view from the window onto the main street where there is always something happening. Shut the windows and there is absolute quiet for sleeping. There are many restaurants within walking distance and a very large supermarket only 5 minutes walk up the street.The terrace has views of the Colosseum and its fantastic just to sit there and soak in the view. + Perfect location for exploring Rome. Right next to the guest-house is the Roman Forum, several great basilicas, Colosseo is 5 minutes walk away, etc. etc.
+ The rooms are spacious and very well-furnished. The quality you'd expect to find in a 3-4 star hotel rather than in a guest-house.
+ There is a kitchen with a stove & fridge. Really nice :)
Coffee-machine makes nice coffee and hot chocolate 50c a cup (as of September 2013).
+ The staff was super-friendly and really helpful.

We loved absolutely everything about this place. The staff is extremely
friendly and helpful. They even offered us to check in the early morning
of the day of booking without extra charge -- this was really nice after
a night trip by train, since we got a chance to take a shower, take a
short nap, leave our bags there and set on a sightseeing trip
