The hotel is in a very quiet area of the historical center and everything is in a really short walking distance. The staff was very friendly and helpful always. The Bencista is a fabulous old villa up in the hills of Fiesole with
breathtaking views of Florence. It is a wonderful, quiet retreat from
long days of sight-seeing. It is a short walk to the bus stop to catch
the #7 bus into town (20 min) or a €25 cab ride (recommended for
luggage). We had good wi-fi in our room as well as around the building.

It is so quiet at night and cooler than Florence. Dinner on the terrazza overlooking Florence. The antique everything. What better than a stay in a Medici Villa for a visit to Florence! You can buy bus tickets right there and hike up to the road to catch a bus. Nice 20 min walk to Fiesole, or you can take the bus. Coffee on the Terrazza next to the Aurora Hotel in Fiesole is great too. There is no A/C but the large ceiling fan was sufficient. No TV, but who has time to watch tv with all the stu

The staff were so welcoming and could not do enough for us. They even gave us drinks from our mini bar for free! Hotel also had free use of internet which came in usefull.

What a unique experience that to stay at Villa Agape for a fantastic
introduction to Florence. Its peaceful and wonderfully attractive
setting is a perfect oasis away from the always crowded historic center.

The grounds are gorgeous, rooms comfotable and meals generous. I don't speak a word of Italian but still managed to communicate well enough with the sisters. It's nice to end the day of seeing Florence's sights with an evening here - stay for a dinner one night too. The bus into town is about 10min walk - so take a taxi there from station (about 12euro) if you've got baggage then jump on the bus the other days. I loved it here.
