It is opposite the bus stop for easy links around the island. Stella Maris is a family-run hotel, set on one level. It features a 24-hour reception and a breakfast room where a continental breakfast is served each morning. Rooms have patterned tiled floors, a TV and a private bathroom with hairdryer. Wi-Fi is free in the hotel's lobby. The hotel is just a few steps from Santa Sofia Church. It is surrounded by some of Capri's most popular shops and bars. Regular buses connect you to beaches around the island of Capri and to the port in Marina Grande 1.5 km away.

The hotel/albergo is located directly overlooking the bay in front of the bus station, seconds from the Piazza Umberto, a short walk from the local supermarket so you can stock up your fridge. Very clean and basic but excellent value for the location on Capri. It left us with plenty of cash for the high life on the island. The owner was extremely friendly and would wait up to ensure you got home safely. The blackout blinds and hot powerful shower were a bonus. A genuine local B&B.

I had booked the room for three people, and I ended having an extra friend come, and they didn't hesitate to give us a different room. The hotel was in a great location with many restaurants and shops near by. Also had a fantastic view. this is a simple and complete hotel. the room view is fantastic. It is in the best place, the main street with stores and restaurants, 1minute walking from piazzeta umberto. If what you look is a clean room, good location and nice staff its perfect. perfect location right in the middle of the city center, in front of the funicular entrance. since we only stayed in capri for one night it was great not to lose time coming and going to the hotel. small rooms but tidy. Clean comfortable hotel with very helpful staff. Very close to the top of the funicular from the port and right at the bus stop for all parts of the island. Excellent location for a short stay. The hotel is really well located in the heart of Capri town. The host was very welcoming and friendly towards us. Room was clean and had good air-conditioning. Breakfast was quite acceptable. Perfect place to base yourself for a night on the island. Only steps away from the Funicular and right across the street from the buses that take you around the island. friendly hotel owner 10 meters from the main bus station and 100 meters from the main square, excellent location for going around Tourist-friendly cat in the hotel. The owner is super friendly, and the service is great. Right in the center of Capri. good location view to the sea. very close to central plazza easy for shopping and near bus station. Nice view. location, but the hotel and the breakfast is very very average. The rooms were rather small, and the noise from the bus station would be a bother without earplugs if you a light sleeper. The one thing I didn't like was that you had to leave your room in order to use the restroom or shower. But it really wasn't that big of a deal!. The only problem is the toilet be outside the room. But it is not shared. Otherwise it was very clean and the shower is good! It is not a problem that would make me look for another hotel. If I come back to Capri for sure I can stay there again!. Breakfast a bit disappointing. Close enough to have provided fresh croissants rather than pre-packed. Might have been just too close to the bus stop for some?. Room was a bit on small side as was the bathroom. WI-FI service was a bit unreliable. On our first night the host and his son were having a loud argument, which included glass breaking, which was a bit off putting. Able to check out at 11a.m instead of 10 a.m would have been nice Would have been nice if the hotel owner agreed to make cappuccino or espresso with his espresso machine instead of serving coffee from his moka. It's located in front of the bus station so it's noisy. Nothing everything great for price. the second floor faced the bus station, it would be better in a room of the third floor. the host took passport and key whenever you went out, seems so inconvenient and strange. Poor breakfast. I am not a picky person, but if you can try to avoid the rooms facing bus station - it is really very noisy until late and early in the morning. A/C was not working in our room.
