Located 10 minutes, by car, outside of Alberobello, this piece of paradise provides a warm welcome from Daniele and Liliana and Antonio the Egyptian cat! Their truli was renovated and designed over 2 years with respect to the original layout and building procedures, creating harmony within the environment. The 2 guest rooms are attached to the truli, formerly home to animals, a far cry from what you see today. Each has their own deck, with views of fields and farms. Breakfast emerges from their.

Our hosts were very friendly, warm and helpful with suggestions of things to visit in the area. Our rooms were brand new with lovely furnishings and great bathrooms. We were two couples travelling together and very much enjoyed being able to sit out on our verandas to share a bottle of wine and view the beautiful surrounding countryside. And the breakfasts were phenomenal with homema. Everything and particularly the lovely location and Daniele and Liliana who were wonderful hosts. A truly memorable hotel stay...for instance sitting on the patio under the stars listening to the sounds of the countryside ..or having breakfast in a Trulli building with delicious local cheeses and home made marmalade....or how often will you experience one of your hosts climbing up a fig tree to supply you with the best fig to enjoy during your journey :). Podere Papilio was trulli a great experience. A 10 minutes drive outside the center of Alberobello on a property with views of farms and fields. Our hosts magnimus with their assistance in local help and time. Clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated room with a small private porch. Amazing breakfasts with stellar cappuccino. Seldom do you find a place that checks all the boxes. Would definitely stay there again. A friendly cat as well. Superbe! Exceptionnel. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Liliana and Daniele really care about providing their guests with the best possible stay in their beautifully restored trulli. Beautifully decorated room. High quality materials & bedding. Daniele and Liliana are wonderful hosts, extremely knowledgeable about the area. Far enough from Alberobello to need a car, but a short and pleasant drive into the city and surrounding towns. Great breakfasts with homemade preserves from their orchards. Beautiful, relaxing location. We had a delightful stay at Podere Papilio. We had a car so being out in the country was a plus for us. Our hosts were very knowledgeable and friendly. The breakfast was delicious with wonderful home made cakes. It was a unique and fun experience to eat breakfast in a trullo. I can't think of anything negative to say, really. We got an excellent breakfast, the hosts are friendly, our room was truly magnificent... Honestly, if you're looking for a first B&B-experience - like this's been the case for us - this is the best place to start. The warm welcome was fantastic and the genuine warmth of the owners for what they were offering was a delight. The breakfasts, including gluten free, were well presented and carefully planned. Great small place in the countryside with only two rooms. Each has a nice terrace with a table. Very quite and with beautiful nature around! Fantastic owners! We plan to come back!. The parking was a little far and was gravel so it would have been difficult to take a large suitcase from the car to our room. Our host said he would accommodate that by carrying the suitcases if needed so not a big deal. My girlfriend and I would have loved to stay a little longer. The bedroom was a little small, but plenty of space in the terrace. It is quite complicated to find it without GPS.
