Offering elegant Baroque-style rooms with balconies and sea views, B&B La Dolce Vita is in the heart of Agrigento, 50 metres from the main train and bus station. A Sicilian breakfast is served to your room each morning. This historic building has been completely renovated to offer luxurious rooms with velvet headboards and antique furniture. Each room is air conditioned and comes with free Wi-Fi, an LCD TV and a minibar. They all have balconies overlooking the city, San Calogero Church and the Mediterranean Sea. Breakfast at La Dolce Vita includes Italian pastries and traditional Sicilian desserts. It is brought to your room at whatever time you decide. Guests also have discounts at the restaurant on the ground floor. Porto Empedocle is 15 minutes' drive away for boats to the Pelagie Islands.

Happily close to the railway station of Agrigento. Found there were 3 flights of stone steps to the front door and were beginnin to struggle up with our luggage when one of our hosts suddenly appeared and scooped up the suitcases and led us up - turns out they have close circuit tv for this very purpose - bless em. The accommodation as everyone has noted is delightfully over the top..but the breakfasts are even better. Great for transport to the Valley of the Temples, a short walk to the centre.

The breakfast was very organised and you choose your breakfast the day before and it is served in your room. My friend is a celiac and the B &B owner brought her gluten free products for her breakfast. You cannot park next to the hotel because it is down some steps, but we parked for free not to far away and were given good instructions from the B. this place is certainly not ordinary! you feel like a princess in the perfumed rooms! the luxury of the fabrics, the gold and red furniture, the breakfast tray brought to you in the morning! the bubbly and chocolates in the room, the whole experience is wonderful! you can chose to have the bathroom en suite or separate (spacious and across the corridor). the situation of the B&B is very practical being over the road from the train station and down the road from the bus station! there is a . the BB is designed in a so cool style with classic roman decorations. The location is so good to have just 5 min to bus terminal and out of this B&B is the main tourist street. Our room even have a small welcome champion. The view in the balcony is so nice, especially you can sit there to have breakfast or wine with enjoy seeing the church and sea view. The breakfast is a fest and have soooo many different good food and drink to choose. The host is very helpful and great, of course. This was a lovely B&B. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Lovely to enjoy breakfast delivered to the door and eaten on the balcony overlooking the sights of the sea (distant) and the city. Really admired their open honesty about the pitfuls - managed expectations perfectly. Yes it's a bit noisey - but they're open about that and even supply ear plugs! Agrigento is a great city. Much better than my findings in Palermo. Everything: the personal attention of the owners, the elegant decor, the sumptuous breakfast, the cleanliness, the easy access ability to trains and buses, as well as to local restaurants. One of the owners even drove us to pick up our rental car, for free! They also let us use their cell phone. Although La Dolce Vita is located at the top of a big flight of stairs, the brothers helped us with our luggage, so it wasn't a problem. Totally OTT decore but we loved it! Staff very friendly and helpful met us on site, took us to where we could park the car and then carried our cases down the stairs - assuring us they would be there tomorrow for the cases return journey - and they were! Huge breakfast. We had the room with external private bathroom but it wasn't a problem at all. Nice room, very good breakfast on the terrace, even beginning of november ! very well located near train and busstation, also near the old city ! And very pleasant staff !! the best place to stay in Agrigento ! but a lot of steps to arrive at the B and B ( 2nd floor ) , can be difficult for elderly people. The gorgeous pink and gold room. Outside private toilet - never had this for years but not a problem. The balcony overlooking streets and a distant sea, where breakfast was served. The fact that pleasant and helpful hotel staff left us earplugs. for the noise. 1. Location (50 metres from the start of of Argigento's main street Via Etnea) 2. A nice wide balcony an ideal place to have a breakfast 3. Staff doing its the best 4. Room is big and include: a corridor, a bedroom, a bathroom and a balcony. Beautifully decorated room with terrazza overlooking the street with views of the sea. The two bothers who ran the B&B were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay here. The location was perfect, near buses and train station. The room was really, really nice. The breakfast was excellent. Dario was really kind. He helped us get a parking place, and carry the luggage. The view from our room was also really beautiful with the park and the sea at sight. Everything! Lovely staff, highly accommodating, even collected us when the satnav had misguided us to someplace else in the city. First rate treatment all round. Best restaurant in town just one floor below. How good is that?. Breakfast: so huge, you order all what you want the day before and then it is served directly to you room, in the center: few steps from the main street, if you have car non problem to find a parking place nearby. Very close to the old town, railway station and bus terminal. Very nice and helpfull staff. DELICIOUS breakfast (you can order whatever you wish!). Nice touches (sweets in the hall:). The boss brothers are very nice, can take us to Turkey Stage (not free charge); The breakfast is very very good, has much option; B&B near train station and not far away from bus station. Top sheet was a bit grotty/stained and the bed was a little wonky. But very miner points considering the gorgeousness of the room and location. The fact that there was no phone in the room. You have to be prepared for city noise. It is in an excellent position but people passing, babbling as only Italians can and the traffic. I love it but some won't. 1. Too much gold in room's interior. Just suggestions(not complaints) Water glasses in the bathroom or in the room are needed and perhaps some coat hangers in the wardrobe for longer stays. Nothing wrong really. The only problem is the access to the B&B. It is really hard to find it if one does not call Dario at arrival. Everything else was simply excellent!. Like all city accommodation, you can shut out some but not all noise. However, it did not stop us from sleeping extremely well. No lift, need carry up the baggage to 2nd floor. From Italians we expect good, strong coffee in the morning, but unfortunately the coffee pot we got contained very weak coffee (more like hot water). For the rest, breakfast was excellent!. Breakfast is served in the room on a tray and there is no fruit,meat or cheese or decent coffee. Nothing. A bit difficult to find, lots of steps up to the front door, trash in the neighborhood walkways. I hated I only stayed there one night, wish I had stayed more than one day. Check in is a bit early - 10-30am as compared to usual 12-00. Limited choices for breakfast served on tray Many stairs to access property with suitcase Noisy cafe downstairs on a Saturday night Not staffed during the day so arrival time is critical. My shower head was broken and difficult to wash hair. hard to find on navigation. The outside of the building is unattractive. We enjoyed our stay. nothing. A little noisy, but then if that bothers you, don't book in the centre of the city. We saw a bit of bathroom wildlife too, but then the window was open, so that isn't surprising. Long way to parking. Many steps from top or bottom of streets to room. Noise, Noise, Noise. Traffic, Traffic, Traffic. Street noise but we knew where it was so this was expected Difficulty parking.
